As you get older in life, you can't help but think about the past. Personally I always find myself being very nostalgic and a fan of anything that was once popular or was a big deal back in the day. I don't know if it had anything to do with having nothing to do at work the other day while I was scouring the world of Wikipedia on random topics about defunct video stores and the history of the VHS. One topic just leads into another and next thing you know you are reading the about the history of the game.com handheld system. Remember that one?
Sometimes as you try to think about something to write it just doesn't hit you until it's the right time. I have always said that I want bumwinebob.com to be about more than just bum wine. I want it to be a place that can bring people together and spark discussions. Bum wine is always a guaranteed good time, but what about the people who see that and don't take it seriously? I have seen on many occasions that the discussions and posts we have had on the site bring people together. This is something that I would like to see continue and you can help us make that happen. Write a post for the blog!
I had said last week that there would be a big announcement coming on 5.1.15. While we are still working on some discussions and negotiations, it looks like we will be holding off on that at this time. I'm sorry to disappoint all of you, but when the time does come you will be the first to know!
Starting today I will be running a series of TBT posts each Thursday on bumwinebob.com. Each week could be about a different type of topic, so you never know where things will go. This is going to start moving us in the direction of having more daily content for you all on the site, and hopefully with the addition of some more guest bloggers things will start flowing through here more regularly.
In the world these days, everything that was once old always finds a way of becoming new again. Last year we saw the debut of "Girl Meets World", which was a way to suck in the people who grew up watching "Boy Meets World" every Friday night during the old TGIF days on ABC. With the start of season 2 just around the corner, and the addition of even more characters from the original series, you can't help but find yourself invested in where these characters have been and where things will go. The same thing can be said about the announcement of "Fuller House", which will be a continuation of "Full House".
What will they think of next? In the movie world we have seen a plethora of movie reboots or films that have been modified and tweaked to change some of the stories over the last few years and it looks like that trend will continue for the foreseeable future.
Vinyl is making it's way back into the mainstream and JNCO Jeans are trying making a comeback!
We saw the return of another favorite 90's favorite, Surge soda in 2014. Is Crystal Pepsi next? (Hope so!)
