It's Tuesday! Time for IMPACT!
The show starts with a special Moose-TNA open. They took old footage and made it look like TNA legends such as Hogan, Jarrett, Daniels, Roode, and Bully were putting over Moose. VERY well done!!
#1 Contenders Tournament 1st Round: Madman Fulton vs Hernandez
The Crist Brothers accompanied Fulton to the ring for this tournament match. The two big men struggled for an advantage early. OVE interference led to Fulton gaining an edge, but Super Mex made a comeback. Hernandez Border Tossed Jake onto Fulton for a near fall. Both men went up in the corner, but Hernandez pushed Fulton off the top and hit a splash for the win. Decent enough way to start the show. Fulton probably should have won, but I enjoy having Hernandez back in the company. Winner: Hernandez
Next we saw a Mike Elgin promo talking about the #1 Contenders Tournament. He says he shouldn't have to compete in the tournament, and honestly, he's not wrong.
We get an OVE, Crazy Steve, Joseph Ryan segment backstage. Steve vs Dave Crist will happen next week.
Kylie Ray vs Tasha Steelz
Cool to see Tasha on IMPACT, but it doesn't get much better than Kylie Ray right now in my humble opinion.I'd love to tell you more about this match, but Twitch was very in and out on my end. Best I could do, Tasha got in some offense, but this match was basically all Kylie. Kylie wins the STF. Winner: Kylie Ray
Rohit promo backstage talking about the tournament. He says there is no more Desi Hit Squad.
Kylie and Susie have an interaction backstage.
Kimber Lee vs Havok
Another new Knockout making her in ring debut! Excited to see Kimber in IMPACT. Kimber actually controlled a good portion of this match. Neveah came out to ringside again. Havok took control and had Lee set up in the corner, but Kimber hit Havok with Brass Knuckles and rolled her up for the win. WOW! Winner: Kimber Lee
Next is another new Kiera Hogan vignette.
Time for Locker Room Talk! Ken Shamrock joined Madison and Swinger this week. Shamrock intimidated Swinger into leaving the interview. Elgin interrupts and takes out Ken with a chair. Elgin laid a chair on Ken's face and smashed it with a second chair. I mean, hey IMPACT, this is what happens when you take away a title oppurtunity from Elgin!
Sami promo backstage....or wherever Sami is at. Sami talks about his match with Elgin next week.
#1 Contenders Tournament 1st Round: Rohit Raju vs Trey
Good, fast paced action started off the match. Rohit and Raju constantly went back and forth. Trey picked up the win with a rollup in a relatively short match. Trey continues to have a great 2020. Winner: Trey
Deaner in quarantine vignette. Deaner is talking to other wrestlers on the phone and exercising. Then Deaner wrestles a tree and the Invisible Man.
The North segment! Ethan says that tonight's competition will be much tougher than last weeks. Their opponents are still just two no name "enhancement guys." This is just a comedy segment, and Josh isn't having fun. Josh wrecks the jobber. The North (obviously) "retain" their titles.
Rosemary segment. John. E Bravo and the dog "Mr. Mundo" show up. Bravo admits to missing Taya. Maybe Bravo is "the one" for Rosemary.
Chris Bey finds Swinger backstage. He gets Swinger pissed off at Willie Mack.
Back from a very long commercial break, Swinger gets in Mack's face, and Willie agrees to put the X Division Title on the line next week.
"TNA World Title" : Moose (c) vs Suicide
Moose is still claiming to be the TNA World Champ. Suicide got off to a hot start, but Moose took control of the match on the outside of the ring. Moose slammed Suicide into the barricade. Suicide hit a suicide dive and a running dive off the apron on Moose.Moose went for a pop-up powerbomb, but Suicide countered with a rana. Moose collided with the ref, and the ref went down. Moose came off the top,but Suicide caught him with a codebreaker like move. The ref was still down, so Suicide couldn't get the pin. Moose hit a low blow and the No Jackhammer Needed to win and retain! Decent match. Winner: Moose
Decent enough episode. There was nothing that I really loved, but nothing terrible either. IMPACT could really use the crowd back. Elgin vs Sami next week should be really good!
