ROH TV Recap: Episode 451

Ring of Honor TV: Episode 451

Woop! Woop! This week is all about "The Villain" Marty Scurll!

Marty opens the show, and addresses the current Corona Season pandemic. Marty talks about coming to ROH in 2016 and winning the TV Title from Osprey in only his second match in the company. He talks about his time in Bullet Club and his All In match with Okada.

Marty Scurll vs Kazuchika Okada
Okay, this is a WILD way to start ROH TV! This from the "All In" event. Ian is on commentary with Don Callis and Excalibur. It's crazy how much this event changed pro wrestling. It's "Heavyweight" Marty Scurll vs Red hair and long pants Okada. I love this match! Both men hit their signature moves throughout the match. Both fought from underneath for most of the match. Marty went for several power moves to show off his new "heavyweight" style. Marty countered the Rain Maker on multiple occasions, once using his umbrella to stop the clothesline. Marty hit a Rain Maker of his own for a very close near fall. Okada countered a Chickenwing with the Rain Maker, but he couldn't make the cover. Okada landed two more Rain Makers to get the win. GREAT match! Winner: Kazuchika Okada

Marty talks about what that match meant to his career.

Next we watch Marty unbox and put together his new Egg Chair. Best wrestling on the planet, folks!

Bandido vs Marty Scurll
This is from the Saturday Night at Center Stage event last August. Great back and forth action early. Marty landed his apron superkick, but Bandido came back with several high-flying dives. The two exchanged shots in the middle of the ring with Marty getting the upper hand. Bandido came back with a Buckle Bomb and the X Knee for a two count. The X Knee is such a sick move! Bandido hit a standing shooting star for two. Bandido hit his top rope moonsault slam that might be the coolest move in wrestling. Marty locked on the Chickenwing out of nowhere, but Bandido escaped. Marty hit the Black Plague for the win. GREAT match!! Winner: Marty Scurll

Marty vs Okada and Marty vs Bandido makes for a pretty phenomenal hour of wrestling. Great episode this week!
