Indie Wrestling Wire: Limitless Wrestling's The Road EP12 Recap

The Road Recap, EP12 by Don Halliwell

Delmi Exo vs Channing Thomas

Thomas uses his strength advantage to take Exo down twice.  He then decides to show off, which is not a good idea against a veteran like Exo, as she is able to take the advantage with a boot to the head.  Channing tries to splash Exo in the corner, but she moves and hits a suplex for near fall.  Thomas escapes to the outside of the ring, and Exo goes after him, but she runs into an elbow to the face.  Thomas drops her back first on the apron and then on the floor before bringing her in the ring for a near fall.  He keeps control and focuses on Exo’s back, dropping her on it with 3 body slams, then putting pressure on it on the mat.  Exo is able to fight out and goes for a Pedigree, but Thomas escapes and hits another body slam. He tosses Exo in the corner, but she gets her knees up and hits a series of clotheslines followed by an Ace Crusher for near fall.  She then hits Thomas with a Pedigree, but he is able to kick out at 2.  Thomas rolls out to the floor, but Exo follows him and attacks him, giving him a receipt from earlier by dropping his back on the apron.  She gets him back in the ring and goes for a cross body from the top, but Thomas catches her and slams her for a near fall.  Thomas tries to hook in a leg submission, but Exo rolls him up for the win.  Thomas was able to dominate through a lot of the match, but Exo uses her experience to pull out the victory.

Davienne vs Katie Arquette

Katie makes the referee start the scene with her clapperboard in the center of the ring but does not notice that Davienne is putting on her fur coat behind her until she turns around and she is furious.    When the bell rings, these two powerful women lock up and are pretty even to start the match, as they exchange submissions on the mat.  They then exchange holds in the middle of the ring until Katie takes Davienne down and puts on an ancle lock.  Davienne escapes the ancle lock and they battle on their feet until Davienne hits a Theis press and starts pounding Katie.  Katie trips Davienne into the corner to regain advantage and throws some strikes.    She whips Davienne to the other corner and hits a spear in the corner followed by a leg drop for a near fall.    She then throws Davienne in the corner again and this time hits a hip attack, followed by a Samoan drop for another near fall.  Katie then starts taunting Davienne and gets met with a chop.  Davienne takes over and hits Katie with the Kryptonite Crunch for a near fall of her own.  Davienne looks for a suplex but Katie reverses and hits one of her own.  She then hits Davienne with a spinebuster for a 2 count.   Davienne mounts a comeback with some forearms and a back suplex, then goes for the pin but Katie is able to kick out.  Davienne charges at Katie, but Katie drops her headfirst into the mat.  They both get up and Davienne hits big boot dropping Katie in the corner in perfect position for the Davi end.  Davienne hits the sliding dropkick in the corner for the win.  Davienne proves once again that she is one of the top wrestlers in Limitless and improves her stellar record.  This was a very competitive match though, and Katie Arquette proved that she deserves to be in the ring with the top stars.

Owen Brody vs Adam Booker

This is Booker’s first match in Limitless for 4 years, but he looks like he has been in the gym the whole time.  They struggle for position to open the match and remain even until Brody locks in an arm bar.  Booker is able to escape and get the advantage before Brody quickly escapes the ring.  Once Brody comes back in the ring, Booker takes him to the mat and starts working on his leg.  Brody throws Booker out of the ring and goes after him but gets tossed into the ringpost, then gets hit with some chops.  Booker hits a leg drop on the apron and rips away the ringside mat.  He looks to do some more damage to Brody, but instead gets backdropped on the wood floor.  Booker is able to make it back in the ring but is met with an attacking Brody when he gets in.  Brody hits a Russian leg sweep for a near fall.  They exchange pin attempts until Brody goes after Booker’s back and starts stomping on it.  Booker is able to fight off Brody on the turnbuckle and hits him with a superplex from the top, followed by a scoop slam and a back suplex for a near fall.   Booker then hits a flying forearm, but Brody comes back with a flatliner for a near fall of his own.  Booker hits a combination knee to face, elbow to face and tiger driver and is able to pick up his victory, which has to feel great after a long time out of the ring.

Travis Huckabee vs Perry Von Vicious

Travis is accompanied to the ring by Leary.  Travis goes for the leg, but PVV uses his strength to throw him aside.  Travis then tries to take PVV down with shoulder blocks but has no success with this tactic either and PVV hits a shoulder block of his own.  Travis retaliates by taking out PVV’s knee.  PVV rolls out of the ring.  When he comes back in, he slams Travis, but Travis goes after the knee of PVV and is able to take advantage.  He hits PVV  with some uppercuts, then a dragon screw in the corner.  Travis goes for a stretch muffler but PVV kicks him off, shoves him in the corner and hits Travis with a splash and a back suplex.  PVV takes Travis down with a forearm then tosses him from corner to corner twice.  Travis kicks PVV’s knees, but PVV comes back with a drop kick.  Travis retaliates with a headbutt to PVV’s jaw and he goes straight to working on PVV’s leg.  PVV fights back and they exchange holds on the mat before Travis is able to lock in the stretch muffler for the win.  PVV put up a good fight and tried to use his power advantage, but Travis’s submission skills were just too much for him to combat.  Travis Huckabee is able to break the losing streak of The Hive and looks to turn things around for the group.
