Limitless Wrestling Presents "The Road" Episode 4, Season 3 - Recap by Don Halliwell

Connor Murphy vs Love, Doug

Connor Murphy has been on a roll as half of The Competition, but he is on his own tonight.  Love Doug has been getting closer to getting a win recently, but is still chasing that first victory.  The big question for this match is if Murphy will be looking past Doug on his way to their big tag match on Friday.

Murphy opens the match with a quick suplex, but Doug surprises Murphy with an armbar forcing him to go to the ropes.  They face off in the center of the ring.  Doug hits a big drop kick and Murphy goes to the outside to regroup.  Murphy comes back in the ring, but Doug is able to counter all of his moves and shoots him to the outside.  Murphy takes out Doug’s legs and brings him to the outside with him.  On the outside Murphy drives Doug into the ringpost and then squeezes him into the post.  Doug tries to get some offence going, but Murphy hits a high drop kick and starts working on Doug’s back.  Murphy continues to work over Doug, but Doug fights out with headscissor, then goes after Murphy, but Murphy evades him and drives Doug headfirst into the turnbuckle.  Doug hits a boot, but misses the moonsault and Murphy starts working on him again.  Murphy goes for a dive off the top, but Doug moves out of the way.  Doug fires up, kissing Murphy’s hand, then hits a running back elbow and 10 strikes on the turnbuckle.  Doug hits a forearm in the other corner followed by a bulldog for a 2 count.  Doug goes for sliced bread, but Murphy attacks his back and locks in the Celtic Clutch, forcing Doug to tap out.  Love Doug again shows that he has a lot of fight in him and he is getting closing to that first win, but Connor Murphy would not be denied and has his momentum going into the Competition’s big match at Double Vision against MSP and CJ Cruz and Ricky Archer.

Alexander Lee vs Dylan Nix

Alexander Lee looks to continue his run through the Limitless Dojo students.  Nix shows off his strength advantage early, but Lee uses his experience and some underhanded tactics to take the advantage.   However, he only appears to have mad Nix mad as he comes back with an exploder suplex followed by a vertical suplex.  Lee catches Nix with a knee to the gut and drives him throat first into the ropes.  Lee locks in a choke hold and then mounts him and lays in some elbows.  Nix catches Lee off the ropes and hits a stalling back suplex for a 2 count.  Nix tries to keep the momentum, and pick up Lee for side body slam, but Lee reverses the attempt and drives Nix to the mat.  Lee drives Nix arm first into the mat for a 2 count.  Nix hits a spear and  they are both slow to get up.  Lee gets the advantage when they are both back up as he hits a short-armed clothesline.  Lee tries to go to the top, but Nix catches him and throws him over his head to the mat.  They exchange holds then Lee quickly locks Nix in for the Event Horizon and drops him for the win.

Nick Stapp vs Armani Kayos

Kayos opens the match looking at himself in the mirror and Stapp comes up from behind him as he wants  to get a look too, but gets shut down by Kayos.  Kayos throws the mirror at Stapp, but Stapp throws it back and lays Kayos out with a dropkick.  They are off to a fast start to this match as Stapp hits a second drop kick but misses the third and gets met with a slap from Kayos.  Kayos misses a spinning heal kick and Stapp answers with a flying elbow.  Kayos is able to avoid a couple of Stapp’s offensive attempts, but Stapp gives Kayos a little taste of his own medicine, as he greets him with a slap to the face.  Kayos drives Stapp to the outside with the Rearview.  Stapp gets thrown back in the ring, and  is met with a senton from Kayos.  Kayos brings Stapp down with a boot and hits the senton again, but this time Stapp locks his arms around Armani’s waist.  They get up with Stapp still locked onto to Kayos, but Kayos drives Stapp into the corner.  Stapp tries to escape to the top turnbuckle but Kayos catches him with a handstand headscissor bringing Stapp crashing to the mat.  Stapp is able to kick out at 2 but Kayos is still in control.  He attempts to go for another Rearview, but Stapp is ready for it and catches Kayos, throwing him backwards with a back suplex.  Stapp hits a series of high elbows followed by a swinging knee on the ropes.  Stapp comes off the top with a dropkick, but only gets a 2 count.  Kayos comes back with a spinning heal kick in the corner followed by a bronco buster and sliced bread for a near fall.    He follows this up with Wings of Kayos, but Stapp kicks out again.  There were a couple times in this match that it really looked like Kayos had the win, but Stapp just keeps fighting back.   Kayos tries to get Stapp up, but Stapp slips out and gets Kayos in a pinning predicament for a 2 count. He then catches Kayos with a cutter, facebuster combination to his knees for the win.  This was an incredibly fast paced match that could have gone either way.  Stapp showed his toughness by kicking out of all of Kayos’ moves, but Armani Kayos showed us once again that he will be a star in Limitless very quickly.

Davienne vs Alec Price

This is quite the main event as Price is one of the fastest rising stars and Davienne is already one of the top stars in Limitless.  Alec looks extra hyped for this match and goes on the attack fast.  Davienne goes for a choke slam but Alec flips out of it.  They exchange forearms and Alec breaks free with a knee.  Price runs at Davienne, but she sees him coming and is able to catch him with an exploder suplex.  Alec gets the control back by pulling Davienne to the mat by her hair, as he leaps over her.   Alec works Davienne over in the corner then brings her out to the center of the ring and hits a vertical suplex.  He stands on her hair and pulls her up by her arms, then grinds her head into the mat with his knee.  When they are both up Davienne drives Price into the corner and lays in some strikes, but Price whips her to the other corner and hits a big boot.  He then hits a hard short armed clothesline for a near fall.  Price takes Davienne to the mat and locks in a chokehold, but Davienne fights back.  Price goes to the top rope, but Davienne catches him and throws him down to the mat.   She follows this up with a clothesline and back elbow, followed by a splash in the corner and side slam.  She goes for the Davi End Your Life, but Alec runs out of the ring.  She chases him back in the ring and hits a choke slam for a 2 count.  Davienne picks Alec up but he slides out and hangs Davienne in the tree of woe and stomps down on her from the top.  Davienne kicks out at 2 and Alec goes for a driver, but cannot get Davienne up.  She hits a suplex followed by Davi End Your Life for the win.  This was a huge win for Davienne as it gives her a lot of momentum going into her matchup against Ava Everett on Friday.

Limitless returns on Friday on IWTV with Double Vision with 6 matches that could be main events on any show. Christian Casanova v. Daniel Garcia for the Limitless Championship. Ken Broadway v. Kevin Blackwood v. Charles Mason. Myron Reed v. Alec Price. Davienne v. Ava Everett. Big Beef v. Tyree Taylor and Ashley Vox v. Becca.
