AEW Dynamite Report - 9/15/21
General analysis - For everything AEW does wrong, they do right a lot more. The simple fucking act of playing a goddamned song after botching it last week.
It's so simple to make your fans happy - just listen to them. You don't have to cater to them 100% of the time, but fuck man ... once in a while is nice.
Normally I'd be annoyed with a celebrity appearance, Rosario Dawson didn't annoy me. I don't know why. It just made sense that she'd attack Malakai Black - he's been horrible to her friend, Cody Rhodes, who is on a TV show that she's on and procures money from.
Money talks, bitch.
The Kenny Omega/Bryan Danielson segment was amazing - they worked the match in without killing the "Cowboy" Adam Page story by eluding that it would be non-title.
The American Dragon might not beat Omega, but Omega won't come out of that match the same person - giving Cowboy the advantage.
STREAM OF CONCIOUS THOUGHTS
The show started with a great Adam Cole/Frankie "Blocked Dennis For No Reason," Kazarian and continued with a really fun show that was highlighted by a really great fucking promo from Chris Jericho.
You can tell Punk is getting more and more comfortable being back. Tonight I saw an extra spark of it when he came out to open the show.

When will they address the Suzuki Incident?
AEW just feels electric right now, right? I watch WWE's shows ... or try to: and it feels so fucking dead. Hopefully Big E helps jump start Raw.
Starting off with Adam Cole is just a great fucking way to get this shit going. "The Elite Hunter," hasn't been to successful in his attempts - doubtful he's going to find any tonight. Sidenote: Frankie, why you block me on twitter, bro?
Punk says the ring apron isn't a standard pro wrestling apron - has anyone else ever commented on that?
Really good opener - but of course it was going to be - Cole & Kazarian are quality wrestlers. I'm really liking the commentary dynamic - it's flowing really well.
Cole wins his first AEW match.
Now it's Story Time w/ Adam Cole ... says the locker room ain't gonna be able to compete with The Elite - calls out Christian Cage, Luchasauraus & Jungle Boy; challenges them to a 3-man tag with the bucks, the Super Clique is back ...
MJF next. I'm in the minority, but he bores the fuck out of me.

Pillman Jr. came out to honor his families name, Wardlow saves him. It's less about Pillman and more about the turn of Wardlow.
That's not a slight on Pillman - He's a talented kid, good talker. I just don't see this doing him any favors.
I blacked out a bit. When I came out of it, I ordered another Crazy Calzony from Little C's and missed some show - but listen. Dante Martin is just an amazing talent. FTR are the epitome of 80's tag team wrestling.

The Suzuki Incident fallout continues. This may split the very solar system we find ourselves in apart.
We have confirmed with the fact that Rosario Dawson, Silent Bob & Jay all part of AEW that All Elite Wrestling is part of the View Askew Universe. Randall rented me an AEW VHS that was actually a midget fucking a .. well, I won't ruin it for anyone.
Dan Lambert may be the most hated person .. wait, was that Mittens?
Jericho is so goddamned good on the mic. I had no interest in Lambert ... I have no interest in Hager .. but I'll watch because of Jericho.
Lambert is losing his voice and his mind!
Like I said, I blacked out - I forgot to tell you that Tazz and his group took Punk out. This will be important later.
It's great to see Leyla getting the love and attention from AEW and the crowd, but man .. pulling the Jade Cargill card is not the way you wanna see it happen.
Hirsch pushed Cargill further than anyone has to date. But not enough.
I see some aren't liking that Rosario stuck up for her friend and tried to choke Black out.
1. Those who are complaining are def def def virgins who have never been in a bar and seen shit happen.

FTR interrupt the celebration of Darby Allin, Tully Blanchard attacks Sting - but Sting isnt bothered till FTR assault Stinger.
All of this makes sense ... Punk would have been out there to help ... but he was taken out by Tazz's group ... the history between Blanchard & Sting ... my god.
So good.
American Dragon coming out. Crowd is hot for him. Duh. Don Callis & Kenny Omega come out almost immediately to confront Danielson.
Callis calls Bryan a mark - wants to know who the hell he thinks he is. Bryan says he's here to talk to Omega. Says it's not about the title - not right now.
That keeps Adam Page in the title loop. Good booking again.
Solid main event - Mox and Eddie versus 2point0, but honestly, I need the Suzuki Incident remedied.
