Emotional Rescue
Complete dedication towards people that one doesn’t
personally know has always fascinated Krüde. Why in the fuck do fanboys
of science fiction movies think they have to LARP their way through life
copying the exploits of fictional characters? Beats the turds out of me. I
created my own character: Me. And I play that role to absolute
perfection. Or so says me. Ha!
I recently saw footage of a fanboy cheering for his favorite
NFL quarterback Matthew Stafford. Problem was that the fanboy was
a Detroit Lions diehard (Stafford’s former team). And Stafford is now on
the Los Angeles Rams. The video struck me as odd and sad at the same
time. Why would this adult be losing his mind over Stafford winning his
first playoff game (as a Rams player)? Did this fella know Stafford personally?
Doubt it. Is this fanboy an bandwagon tag a long to winning football? Maybe.
Just that I think that getting SO emotionally attached to an entertainer is
very creepy. Betty White recently passed away. Aged 99 years young. She
was an entertainer since the Allies defeated the Nazis in the 1940s.
I saw all of the widespread love for this woman littered all over social
media. People were acting and writing messages as she was their relative. Very
strange.
I have my own personal heroes. Lucky for me, I consider those
heroes life long friends. People I know personally. I’m not sure why average
people get so involved in the life of people that they don’t know. I get bummed
out when one of my favorite musicians dies at a young age. No more new music
from that person. I don’t act like the world has ended due to the death. Life
goes on.
I’ve never worn a players jersey as a grown adult in my life. Seemed kinda creepy to do that. Why support a millionaire athlete that doesn’t give two shits about any of the people wearing his jersey? This is a question I will ask for eternity. Athletes are entertainers. And entertainers entertain for a living. Being a celebrity doesn’t make somebody special. Choose your heroes wisely. And look them in the eye as often as possible. The truth is always found in a human’s eyes. Mahalo
Eat, sleep, shit. Repeat…..
