The Krude Experience - A Graveyard of Empty Bottles

“Hellfire, Brimstone and the Preacher met the Kilburn Kick and the Texas Drawl”

Ok Krüde. Where in the blue Hell do you come up with such interesting quips? If I told you that, I’d have to kill you. Or, at least perform a full frontal lobotomy on you. Not sure which one would be less traumatic.

Fuck it. I will exploit my source for such imaginative lyrical non drivel. Blame The Dogs D’Amour musical band for being one of my main inspirations for both their music and art. And yes, I have covered this band in these pages before (just perform an extensive  Krüde Experience search in these pages). It is time again to praise these lovable, musical drunkards. Mahalo

The Dogs album A Graveyard of Empty Bottles is simply an understated masterpiece. Mostly acoustic and blatantly poetic. Singer Tyla pours his saucy heart into his songs with demented conviction. Songs such as So Once Was I and Comfort of the Devil will find their way into your collective psyche and linger there in fine spirit. The tune When The Dream Has Gone is beautiful and haunting in its love lost haze. All in all, this EP of a vinyl gem hasn’t lost any of its bloodshot charm. It actually means more to me in 2022 than it did in 1989 when I first heard it.

For all of you sweet streamers of the world, here is the link to this album on YouTube:  https://youtu.be/3KoRYdkMt18

This is the 1989 version of the album. There is a re recording of it that isn’t nearly as good. Pour a stiff belt of booze and let this 18 minute drunken masterwork do the rest. Cheers!

Lost in the sauce…
