If you would have told me I'd be looking forward to an NWA ppv more than the WWE Royal Rumble last year at this time, I would have called you drunk.

But here we are. The NWA ran their "go home" Tuesday night and will be live this Friday for the second PPV during the "Powerrr Era," if you will.

"Hard Times," named after the famous Dusty Rhodes promo, emanates from GPB Studio in Atlanta, Georgia - headlined by NWA World champion, Nick Aldis taking on Ring of Honor superstar Flip Gordon.

There is also the crowning of a NEW NWA TV champion, with a tournament taking place throughout the night. First round action sees Tim Storm take on Zane Dawson, Ricky Stark battles Matt Cross, and Zicky Dice is slated to face Dan Maff, and Trevor Murdoch takes on Question Mark.

Also in action, NWA Women's World champion, Allysin Kay battles nemesis Thunder Rosa, Aron Rodgers will attempt to survive Big Poppa Pump, Scott Steiner, as Rodgers defends is North American title.

Tim Storm will take on Ken Anderson, while RnR Express defends their tag team titles against The WildCards and the team of James Storm & Eli Drake.

Thunder Rosa defeated Tasha Steelz to open the show. It was a rematch from last month's "Into The Fire" ppv, where Steelz made her NWA debut. It ended in the same way, with Rosa the victor.

In a shocking turn of events, Trevor Murdoch punched his ticket into the TV Title Tournament, defeating the heavily favored Thomas Latimer. I believe it's Murdochs first win in the NWA to this point.

Kay defeated Marti Belle to get a shot at Thunder Rosa at Hard Times. I'm very confused by the booking of the Women's title - Shouldn't Kay be controlling who she faces? For all the NWA does right, they've booked the women's title very poorly. I feel like Kay has already lost the belt and is back on the hunt for it. And this isn't a slight on the work these women have been putting in. They are a huge factor in the resurgence of the company. I just wish the belt was getting as strong a push as the men's belt.

Ken Anderson turned on Colt Cabana after defeating Cabana in a gauntlet match that included Aron Rogers, Caleb Konley, CW Anderson, Dave Dawson, and Sal Rinauro. Anderson turned a seemingly innocent hand shake into a roll up and pin. Cabana was annoyed and they jawed at each other before hugging. Then Anderson attacked Cabana. Anderson viciously mic checked Cabana into the ring post to really hammer home the ending of this friendship.

In the main event, Nick Aldis held on to Sweet Charlotte, defeating the legendary Ricky Morton. Aldis pulled out the victory with his Strictly Business cohorts unable to remain ringside. Billy Corgan sat in for commentary on the match. Morton almost pulled it out, holding Aldis in a figure four leg lock for what seemed like a half hour before Aldis was able to reach the ropes to break the hold.

Knowing he was in more danger than he'd thought he'd be in, Aldis grabbed a handful of Morton's tights and rolled him up for the win.

Marty Scurrl broke into the feed with a Villain Enterprise message:

Hard Times Are Here, Nick. See You Friday.
