Ring of Honor TV: Episode 437
By Dylan Hager
Ring of Honor time! Love what the company is doing right now. Let's get to this week's ROH Television.
We start this week with a look at Bandido, Flamita, and Horus winning the Six Man Titles from Lifeblood from last week. Highly recommend watching that match if you haven't already.
Ian and Quinn hype up this weeks show. The main event will be Dan Maff and Jeff Cobb vs The Briscoes vs Mark Haskins and Tracy Williams from Saturday Night at Center Stage. Also tonight we have Joe Hendry and Dalton Castle vs Master and Machine. Ian and Quinn also promote Marty and PCO vs Rush and Nick Aldis for Free Enterprise coming up on February 9th.
Master and Machine vs Joe Hendry and Dalton Castle.
"Put Your Hands Up" vs "I Believe in Joe Hendry". Master and Machine is of course made up of Marcus Kross and Griff Garrison. Hendry and Kross start us off. Even start as both men show off their speed. Back from a commercial break, Dalton and Griff are the legal men. Dalton uses his amateur wrestling skills to gain the advantage. Dalton goes for the Bang-A-Rang, but Griff rolls him up for two. Master and Machine utilize a double team in the corner, but Dalton quickly regains the advantage. Kross comes back with a double stomp and an elbow for two. Dalton tags in Joe, and Joe works over Kross. Delayed vertical from Joe for a two count. Double team from Castle and Joe for a two count. Dalton and Joe do a great job cutting off the ring, and they take turns working over Kross. Griff makes the hot tag and goes after both Castle and Hendry. Garrison hits a big double spear. Master and Machine hit Skywalker for a two count. Kross and Garrison go for another double team, but Dalton breaks up the move and Hendry hits a double fall-away slam. Dalton connects with a couple running knees. Garrison lands a couple big strikes on Dalton, but Hendry sends Garrison out of the ring. Hendry catches Kross with a code-breaker and Dalton lands a sling blade like move for the win. Winners: Joe Hendry and Dalton Castle Honestly, better match than I expected. Master and Machine is a fun team to watch, and everything Joe and Dalton do entertains me.
Next we take a look at PJ Black trying to be a mentor to Brian Johnson.
Quinn is backstage talking to Haskins and Tracy. Haskins is focused on becoming World Champ. Maybe a slight tease of Haskins vs Hot Sauce from the segment. Would not hate that match at all.
Ian and Quinn hype up the February live events: Free Enterprise on Feb 9th, Bound by Honor on the 28th, and Gateway to Honor on the 29th.
Danhausen vs Rhett Titus
Very nice, very evil it is the return of that Danhausen! Titus gets an early takedown and goes after Danhausen's arm. Danhausen gets back to his feet and goes for a chokeslam to no success. Danhausen brings out his jar of teeth, but Titus lays him out as we go to a commercial break. Rhett goes for a big boot in the corner, but Danhausen moves and Rhett straddles the ropes. Danhausen sends Titus to the floor, and it is time for the Tequila kicks! Titus catches Danhausen with a Northern Lights suplex getting back into the ring. Titus works over Danhausen in the corner. Rhett connects with a series of short clotheslines. Rhett goes to a spinning torture rack like move, but Danhausen kicks out at two. Danhausen connects with a clothesline in the corner and lands a German suplex. Danhausen pours the jar of teeth into Rhett's mouth and connects with a big kick for a two count. Titus back with a perfect dropkick for the three count. Winner: Rhett Titus Good, short match. Love that Danhausen. Still struggling to care about Rhett Titus.
Next week we will see La Faccion Ingobernable vs Villain Enterprises from Honor Reigns Supreme.
Main Event time!
Dan Maff and Jeff Cobb vs Mark Haskins and Tracy Williams vs The Briscoes
ROH's tag division is on fire right now. The Bouncers join commentary for this match. Cobb and Haskins start off. Haskins has the speed advantage, but Cobb uses his power to counter the speed. Mark Briscoe tags Haskins. Mark takes control of Cobb. Cobb lands a dropick, and Williams tags Mark. Williams and Cobb trade strikes, and Cobb goes for powerslam. Haskins tags his partner, and Lifeblood take out Cobb. Haskins goes after the arms of Cobb. Jay tags Haskins, and the former world champ works over Cobb in the corner. Dem Boys connect with a double shoulder block on Cobb. Mark shows off that Redneck Kung Fu. Williams tags into the match, and Lifeblood takes it to Cobb. Cobb just taking a beating here. Briscoe brothers back in, and they each take turns going after Cobb. Mark and Haskins end up going at it, and Cobb connects with a double clothesline. Cobb tags in the fresh Danny Maff. Maff takes out both Haskins and Chicken. Williams comes in, but Maff takes out both members of Lifeblood. The numbers advantage does give Lifeblood the advantage, and both Haskins and Williams connect with dives onto Maff and Cobb. Back from a commercial, the Briscoes are working over Maff. Maff comes back with a spear on Jay, and Maff follows up with a suicide dive onto a number of people. Maff and Cobb both splash Williams in the ring. Cobb hits the Tour of the Islands, and Maff lands a huge senton. Haskins breaks up the pin and nails Cobb with a kick. Haskins with a double stomp on Maff that leads to a Lifeblood two count. Maff shrugs off kicks form Haskins and headbutts Williams. Hot Sauce counters the burning hammer, and locks Maff in an ankle lock. Haskins comes off the top with a double stomp on Maff, but Mark Briscoe lands a froggy-bow on Williams. Haskins nails Mark with a kick, but is met with a superkick from Cobb. Jay goes after Cobb, but Maff takes out Jay. Mark Briscoe stands tall, and Dem Boys land Redneck Boogie on Williams for a two count. Williams lands a DVD on Mark and locks on the STF. Williams transitions into a crossface, but Jay powerbombs Haskins onto his partner to break up the submission. Jay lands the Jay Driller on Williams for the win. Winners: The Briscoes. Fun, chaotic match as is expected with this many men involved. Big fan of all three teams.
That is the show for this week. Loved the main event. It's always nice to see Danhausen, and the opening tag was fun as well. I liked that all three matches were shown in their entirety with the exception of commercial breaks, not just highlights. Another solid episode from ROH!
