Ring of Honor TV Recap: Episode 439

Ring of Honor TV: Episode 439
By Dylan Hager

Honor IS real! Time for another episode of ROH TV!

This weeks opens with a look back at The Briscoes vs 2 Guys 1 Tag from Final Battle Fallout. Woods and Silas won the match to become #1 Contenders.

Team IQ time! Ian and Quinn hype up tonight's episode. Lifeblood will be taking on Vincent and Bateman.

We see highlights from Bandido vs Alex Zayne from Honor Reigns Supreme last month. Zayne picked up the upset win in his debut. HIGHLY recommend finding this whole match on Honor Club or FITE. ROH needs more Alex Zayne!

We go to a photo shoot with Dalton Castle and Joe Hendry. It does not get much more entertaining than these two!

Back to Ian and Quinn! Team IQ promote the upcoming shows in Nashville and St. Louis.

Next we see highlights from Sumie Sakai vs Nicole Savoy from Honor Reigns Supreme. Sumie picked up the win after using a chain and hitting Smash Mouth.

Brian Zane gives his Top 5 Factions in ROH History. 5-SCUM, 4-Embassy, 3-House of Truth, 2-Age of the Fall, and 1-Generation Next. SCUM at #5? Really Brian? Really??

Lifeblood vs Vincent and Bateman
This match is from Honor Reigns Supreme in Concord, NC. Lifeblood is being represented by Mark Haskins and Tracy Williams. This was a good match. Nothing special, but certainly not terrible. Vincent and Bateman attacked Haskins and Williams before the bell. Vincent and Bateman controlled the early portion of the match before Haskins and Hot Sauce mounted a comeback. Haskins had Vincent locked in a Sharpshooter, but Chuckles came in took out Haskins with a block of wood. Williams chased off Vincent's group with a chair before they could do further damage to Haskins. Winners: Lifeblood (DQ)

Main event time!

The Bouncers and 2 Guys 1 Tag vs Dan Maff, Jeff Cobb, Jay Lethal, and Jonathan Gresham
So Silas gets to team with his current partner, Josh Woods, and former partners, Beer City Bruiser and Brian Milonas. On the other side we have the tag champs, Lethal and Gresham, and the new team of Maff and Cobb. This match is also from Honor Reigns Supreme. Honestly so much talent involved in this one! Silas and Gresh opened the match with a solid technical wrestling display. Lethal and Gresham used some questionable tactics to gain the advantage, but Cobb and Maff didn't seem to thrilled with them. It took a while for Maff to get tagged in, but once he was in the match, he went crazy! Lots of good offense from Maff. Maff and Cobb really make a great team. Cobb hit Bruiser with the Tour of the Islands to earn the win for his team. Cobb and Maff make it clear that they want the tag titles, and we know that they will get a shot in the future after they beat the champs at Free Enterprise. Really fun main event! Winners: Dan Maff, Jeff Cobb, Jay Lethal, and Jonathan Gresham

That is all for this week's episode. Nothing was advertised for next week, but I assume we will be getting either the rest of the Honor Reigns Supreme matches or action from Free Enterprise.
