Hang Your Hat
Finding a common ground with others to establish an allegiance
is one of the most mentally taxing acts of humanity that anybody could
experience.Often it's a needed component for most to feel justified. Where you hang
your hat seems to be more important than individual will. Wear your
colors and tow the line. And somehow make a living being very 'not'
yourself.
Krude has been guilty of acting like this in the
past. Usually pledging an allegiance to make some coin. Being labeled as
something I don't respect isn't something that I'm proud of. But life has its
checks and balances and I eventually come to my senses. After the check(s)
clear. Of course.
Sports teams and their players are the easiest marks to emulate
and worship. Most of us played some kind of sport during our formative years. Wearing
the logo or uniform of said team or player makes most who do feel an
'allegiance'.The connection between average person and celebrated person is now
bond. Just try and break that bond. Make a Steelers fan wear Ravens colors.
It won't happen. Not sure why. It's only a sports team. And the average fan
isn't on their favorite teams payroll.
Idol worship and icon driven imagery. An actor accurately
portraying a character. An athlete performing at the highest level.
Television at its most distracting. By grand design
Organized religion is by far the worst kind of allegiance
anybody could have. Silver tongued religious 'leaders' use their polished
grifting skills to prey on people's spirituality. And 10% of their earned
income. All for the glory of knowing where to hang your hat. And make
allies.
Even I realize that most people can't think for themselves.
Following is their game. Ignorance is truly their bliss. They
have no choice. By Grand Design
Next time you find yourself trying to fit your round cog
into a square world,do it with a smile on your face. You are what you are. From
the inside to the outside. Be You. It's the one thing They can't take
from you...
