The big news coming out of Black Label Pro's latest foray, "Quantum Leap" was Kylie Rae's victory over AJ Gray for the BLP Midwest Championship title.
Gray dominated most of the match, but Rae gained control after her hair tie was ripped from her hair. While this was probably just something that happened during the match, unplanned, one now has to wonder if Kylie Rae is now the Samson of pro wrestling.
While obviously I am joking, Rae has had a great run since returning to the ring at Freelance Wrestling - and it's damn nice to see.
Erick Steven's held onto his BLP Heavyweight title, and we now have just eight matches left before Steven's takes his cookies and goes home.
It'll be a sad day to see him go - but I'm really glad my return to independent wrestling watching coincided with his end. I'd have hated missing watching this.
Corn Beef is my favorite independent tag team - Manders and Big Beef give me that old school ass kicking, chew spittin' monster team vibe I've been needing in my life and they made Bear Country look like "human" team for a bit. Sure, Boulder suplexed Corn Beef (as in BOTH men) and the Bears are always beasts - I just knew, watching, Corn Beef was going over.
Tag team action was hot all day at Quantum Leap, with Violence Is Forever and Rush Hour (Wheeler YUTA & Lee Moriarty) opening the show with the thunder and Alex Zayne & Blake Christian defeating The Rascalz in what many felt was the best match of the night.
Zayne is about to go next level. Count on that. Warhorse & Effy wrestled to a no contest, while Jake Something somehow survived Chris Dickinson
