At a very weird time in the world, AEW found a way to make everything seem normal again for 2 hours. They went through with a full show without an audience. Instead they had other AEW wrestlers ringside making noise, cheering and booing. Well done by them.

Opening the show was yet another amazing promo from Cody touching on what is going on in the world and his thoughts on not living in fear. He then speaks about needing The Elite to all be on the same page for Blood and Guts. Matt and Kenny come out and finally Page comes out and agrees to be united with The Elite against Inner Circle.

Meanwhile ringside, MJF and Shawn Spears were betting on matches and drinking some wine. Having a good time. The ringside atmosphere helped the show come together.

The opening match was Best Friends vs Lucha Bros. Orange Cassidy joined commentary and did an amazing job saying absolutely nothing. That’s just how good he is.  It was a great tag team match, the “crowd” was really into it and The Lucha Bros won. Tag team wrestling is on a rise again.

Next match was Penelope Ford vs Riho vs Kris Statlander vs Hikaru Shida. This was my favorite match of the night. The women’s division is definitely entertaining me and I really enjoyed this one. Hikaru Shida picked up the much-deserved win. She definitely has star power behind her.

Tony interviewed Moxley earlier in the day because he wasn’t allowed in the arena due to his injury. He says he will still be in The Inner Circles blind spot.

The third match of the night was The Butcher and The Blade vs Jurassic Express’ Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus. In typical MJF fashion, he pays The Butcher and The Blade to take Jurassic Express out. That was for sure a fun match. Jurassic Express ended up getting the win although I didn’t see that coming.

Dark Order comes out to let everyone know The Exalted One is going to be revealed. Christopher Daniels from SCU interrupts him by saying they are lying and The Exalted One doesn’t exist. That’s when The Exalted one makes his appearance and we see it is Brodie Lee FKA Luke Harper. Brodie Lee tells Christopher Daniels that he is not the first out of touch old man to not believe in him. Then Dark Order lay out SCU. Well done segment and Brodie Lee can take the Dark Order far.

Tony then attempts to interview Lance Archer, but Jake Roberts speaks for him, talking about Cody. Then the video package shows Archer basically taking out everyone and then we see a pinned-up picture of Cody that says Caesar on it.

Main Event time. Santana & Ortiz and Jake Hager w/Sammy ringside vs Cody, Matt Jackson and Hangman. Jericho joins commentary and does an outstanding job. As Jericho comes out Sammy grabs a mic and sings along to Judas in place of the fans who were probably still singing along at home.
This was a good match with a lot going on, Hangman is still over even without an audience in my opinion. MJF mocking Cody throughout the match was entertaining as well. Inner Circle gets the win making them look strong still going into the eventual Blood and Guts match.
Jericho then cuts a fantastic promo saying how the fans should always be banned from the arenas and how the Inner Circle will win because The Elite is outnumbered. That’s when we see VANGUARD1 make his entrance down into the ring, and Broken Matt Hardy up in the rafters!

Despite having no audience AEW really put on one of their best shows to date. I seem to say that a lot but they really out do themselves each week. I enjoy it and I’m thankful for all of the wrestlers from every different company for continuing to give us entertainment in a time where the world is basically at a standstill. They are the real MVPs.
