Impact Recap - A women's division shocker.

Impact Wrestling Recap - 5/26/20

I like to do my reviews with the pro/con format, but honestly, tonight's show would have just been a pro/pro/pro kind of review.

I think the big news coming out of this show is the signing of Deonna Purrazzo - a huge pick up for a company that has already claimed the rights to best women's division in pro-wrestling.

Purrazzo was released during WWE's post WM firings, with some in the industry wondering if Purrazzo was done with wrestling.

In what I personally considered an upset victory, Trey Miguel defeated Michael Elgin in a #1 contenders match for the Impact World title. I felt this was a lot harder hitting than I expected it to be, with Miguel in the match.

One thing that popped out, now that WWE has the NXT roster sitting at ringside, Impact needs to go this route as well. The shows move quicker. I understand Impact tapes a month or so ahead of air-dates, and maybe they've already taken to this idea, but tonight, it was blatantly obvious that it's needed.

Chris Bey defeated Cousin Jake, Kimber Lee was victorious over Havok, and The North held onto their Impact titles, defeating The Deaners.

In the match of the night, Ace Austin upended Hernadez in what Impact Wrestling called an upset, in another #1 contender match.

Austin has been on a roll for a while, and while Hernandez is an Impact legend, Austin winning was the right move and not surprising at all to me.

WHAT ARE FANS SAYING?
