The search is over! After years of looking high and low for Colt 45 Double Malt, I finally got my hands on a 24oz can of the double malt and now we can finally induct Colt 45 Double Malt as the bumwinebob.com malt liquor of the week!
I've enjoyed the classic Colt 45, Colt 45 High Gravity, and now it's time to finally complete the Colt 45 trifecta with the Colt 45 Double Malt!
I was out on the road and decided to stop in a liquor store that I had never been to before. As soon as I walked in and started looking around, I saw a shelf full of MD 20/20, so I knew that was a good sign. As I walked towards the back of the store, there it was. I almost had a heart attack seeing that last can of Colt 45 Double Malt sitting on the top shelf. The whole gang was there: 24oz cans of Colt 45 Double Malt, Colt 45 High Gravity, classic Colt 45, Olde English 800, and St. Ides.
Coming in at 5.61% ABV. it's a smooth and flavorful malt liquor that is delicious. I had high hopes for the double malt going into the taste test that you can hear on this weeks upcoming edition of Bumming with Bobcat, and Colt 45 Double Malt exceeded them all. Highly recommended.
