"What do you love so much about indie wrestling, Dennis?"

It's "Simple Man," by Lynard Skynard playing on the house speakers and the wait for Mance Warner to bust through the entrance.

It defines the wonder of what is about to happen - because this is a far different world than WWE or AEW - anything can and usually does happen on an indie wrestling show.

Like Karate Man being killed by "Filthy" Tom Lawlor. Now, realistically, we knew what we were going to get with this match - a very solid in-ring effort knowing that the story was more important that the move set; which is strange because Ethan Page and Tom Lawlor are two of the very best wrestlers in the business today.

But at the end of the day, they realize that they are entertainers. And their match tonight was entertaining.

The thing about really good promotions is, they know how to mix up the ingredients. AIW is one of those good promotions. They know how to book a show that has a killer match, a funny match, a unique match, etc.

The soul of this show was the triple threat match between veteran Alex Shelley taking on Lee Moriarty and Tre Lamar. The thing I took away from this match, something I've known for a while, is that the best wrestler usually doesn't win - it's a strange trope that bookers fall into quite a bit. Going into this match, the prevailing thought had to be Moriarty going over, since he lost his match at the S.U.P show against Daniel Makabe.

But he didn't - Tre Lamar took the match, picking up his second win of the day. But honestly, there was no loser in this match. Just one winner. Each man complimented the other man's skills in ring. A flawless match if ever there was one.

Mance Warner destroyed Mr. Brickster, The Bitcoin Boyz defeated Allie Kat & Levi Everett in a really solid undercard match.

A match I'll have to go back and watch again tomorrow, Erick Steven's was victorious over Dominic Garrini. The match was moving smoothly, probably one of the best matches of the night when the FiteTV feed became less than good. Unfortunate as the match was very enjoyable till that point.

In the finale, Matthew Justice and Joshua Bishop did the damn thing in a ring surrounded by barbed wire. And when you read barbed wire you think blood and guts - and there was blood and there was guts, but mostly there was fists and shit ...

A final, epic, chair shot from Bishop to Justice sealed the deal tonight.
