Red Tape Tourniquet
Krude been living with some serious spinal pain for
the better part of 15 years. Age,injuries, bad luck have caused me the daily
agony. So after a few years of trying to resolve (surgical processes) my
issues,it looks as though the scalpel will finally carve into my neck and
correct a nasty c-5 fracture. Or will it ever happen? This is a question
I have to ask myself as I take the 'proper' channels to fix my broken parts. Again
RED FUCKING TAPE CITY
Just to get my insurance on board with fixing my broken
parts,I must follow their protocol. This means visits to my main doctor. With
him giving me the green light for MRI. But to get insurance to pay for pricey
MRI,I must face a neurological exam. Then get the MRI referral from the neuro
doc. Getting a neuro exam is way tougher than an MRI cuz there are several
kinds of neuro doctors. And most don't want to deal with spine issues. Fuck.
Thinking about why a neuro exam is needed at this point
makes me sick. I have known what is wrong (crack at c-5) for a few years.
Insurance denying an MRI until a neuro exam is completed is ludicrous. WELCOME
TO AMERICA, Inc.
You wonder why insurance premiums are such a joke. Health is
BIG business in the USA. And any way a network of doctors can make a buck, they
will. While I still can't move my skull to the left without feeling crushing
pain.
Having a National health plan that is part of our weekly payroll
tax is a great idea. For normal people. It beats our tax $ going to national
Defense to fight needless, endless wars in the Middle East. But for wealthy
people who make $ off of the backs of the sick, they would rather make you
suffer and go broke. Fuck that
Me bitching about health care isn't my usual blog style.
Spending hours on the phone trying to resolve my chronic pain issues isn't my
style either. I just want to feel halfway decent for the first time in many
years. I'm not asking for much. Neither are all of the other chronic pain
sufferers in the world. Power to Us!
Your hazy shade of sinner
