This is the final week of the opening round and we were given the names of the final competitors earlier this week, they are Blueskie and Stokely Hathaway Jr. I think that we are all intrigued by who would call themselves Stokely Hathaway Jr, or Lil Stoke as we find out later, they prefer to be called.
As they are introduced, we find out that Blueskie has been a wrestler for 4 years and believes that he is underrated for a wrestler in his area. Hathaway JR has been wrestling for over a decade and states that he is used to people not knowing who he is because when he wrestles in a new town the crowd does not know who he is.
We start the match at a fast pace with them trading quick pinfall attempts. Lil Stoke if being very vocal, screaming lucha and some very Stokely like taunts.
Blueskie is able to hit a suicide dive, and we have some very quick action, Lil Stoke hits a an impressive meteora, but Blueskie is able to get their knees up on a senton attempt and take over. They then hit a very athletic Rana from the top followed by a frog splash. Lil Stoke is able to recover and get the win with a quick creative pin.
Some of the judges appear to think that they know who Blueski is and we will see. Mr. Brickster guesses Michael from “The Lost Boys”, which is obviously incorrect as he never wrestled. Billy Dixon is very confident that he knows who it is and guesses Lio Rush but is surprised to find out that he is incorrect. Kris Statlander is also confident that she knows who it is, she states that it is someone that she has seen wrestle in AAW, Tre Lamar. She is correct!
In his interview Tre states that his opponent could only be 1 person and that is Stokely Hathaway.
So at the end of the opening round the unmasked wrestlers have been KTB, Logan Easton Laroux, Lady Frost and Tre Lamar. Moving on to the second round is Gnekai, Skid, Wyldkat and Stokely Hathaway Jr.
