It's time to feel the tremors, as we crack open a can of Earthquake Pineapple High Gravity Lager as the bumwinebob.com malt beverage of the week!
For most people the classic Earthquake High Gravity Lager is on the no fly list. Honestly, I've never understood the amount of hate the original Earthquake gets. Coming in at 10% abv. I have always found it to be an enjoyable malt liquor, as long as you drink it quick before it starts getting warm. The Drink Four Brewing Company (the same people that bring you Four Loko) decided that they needed to add another horse to the malt beverage market when they decided on developing Earthquake Pineapple High Gravity Lager. At first glance you would think, why? Who wants to add pineapple to malt liquor?
Don't be too quick to judge because this is actually an enjoyable beverage in my book. Now it's technically a flavored malt beverage just like a Four Loko, so you don't need to have any questions about adding fruit flavor to malt liquor. Just think of it as the little brother of Four Loko since it comes in at 10% abv. compared to the either 12% or 14% Four Loko, so if you don't walk to get too loko on any given night, the Earthquake Pineapple High Gravity Lager is the answer!
