Indie Wrestling Wire: #BeyondIsBack with the Signature Series Episode One - Recap

It felt like I was home again. Hearing Paul Crockett and Sidney Bakabella on the mic and that familiar logo on the mat - Beyond Wrestling returned to IWTV and the past year seemed to disappear for an hour.

If you're new to the indie scene Beyond Wrestling has been absent for much of the last year due to the Covid outbreak and the ensuing government shutdowns.

Beyond had been running a weekly show, Uncharted Territory - a weekly show live on IWTV; a precursor to such amazing shows as Limitless Wrestling's "The Road," and New South Pro Wrestling's "Action Class," to name a few.

The opening match of Trish Adora & Jordan Oliver was the perfect way of opening the series - there are very few indie wrestlers as hot on the scene as Oliver and Adora.

Oliver has changed so much physically, but it hasn't hurt him at all - he's still smooth as fuck inside that ring. Adora ... I mean, she's fucking Trish Adora. If you don't understand what she brings yet, stop reading this and head to IWTV and watch the replay.

Closed set tapings aren't optimal, but the wrestlers in fan mode tonight were very loud and boisterous and it felt like 2019 again.

Adora continues her hot streak with a victory over the current Synergy Pro Wrestling champ.

40 Acres versus The Rep followed the opener in the first match of the Tag Team Tournament for Tomorrow. 40 Acres are big on the scene - I'm not extremely familiar with The Rep, but man this match is a chaotic thunder fuck of a match.

I'm a big fan of Lamar - He's got a somewhat unique style to himself, standing out in most of his matches. I'm not a huge fan of tag team wrestling, but this match was extremely fun to watch.

Also, how fucking cool is it to see Masha Slamovich at ringside - the U.S. wrestling scene has missed her.

40 Acres moves on to the next round of TTT4T.

Fuck ... it's already main event time. Why do the good times go so fast! Greatest Rivals round robin match - Chris Dickinson v. Tony Deppen. Two dudes wired differently, but so great in the ring respectively.

Apparently it's cold in the building, and we've found Dickinson's weakness. Don't tell Lady Frost!

I don't have to tell you anything about this match. You saw the names. Two of the best on the fucking scene. Deppen kept it on the ground, wisely, for a lot of the early moments of the match. You want to keep Dirty Daddy down so he can't use that power advantage.

Hey, anyone know why it's called a round robin tournament? Why not a Round Robby? I digress.

The announce team is telling me I'm wrong thinking Deppen is wise to keep Dickinson on the ground - but can you really trust announcers?

I'm actually surprised how much mat time we've gotten on this match. Maybe I've never watched a Dickinson match sober before. Fuck.
