Limitless "The Road" s3 e3 recap by Don Halliwell

Jaylen Brandyn vs Love, Doug

Love, Doug gives Jaylen some roses and a card for his first match back from injury.  Doug goes for a quick pin attempt to try to catch Jaylen off guard and get his first win, but he only gets a 2 count.   Jaylen hits a crossbody from the top for a near fall and Doug rolls out of the ring.  Doug comes back in and hits a dropkick, followed by a forearm in the corner and a suplex.  Doug is on a roll and can possibly feel love and a victory in the air.  Doug hits a flying clothesline from the 2nd rope.  He then tries to pick Jaylen up, but Jaylen slips out and hits a spinebuster.  Jaylen hits a series of clotheslines followed by a sling blade.  Doug tries to run at Jaylen in the corner, but Jaylen moves out of the way and hits the Wave Check for the win.  Jaylen looked impressive in his return to the ring and leaves Love, Doug still looking for a win.

Konnor Hex vs Alexander Lee

Alexander Lee has been trying to make his way through the Limitless Dojo students, as he has already defeated Jacob Drifter and Jessie Nolan this season.   Lee attacks Hex from behind to start the match and continues to pound on Hex until Hex hits a drop kick followed by punches and chops in the corner.  Lee goes off the ropes and Hex tries a drop down, but Lee puts on the brakes and hits senton on Hex.  He then puts Hex throat first on the 2nd rope and chokes him on it, then hits a swinging neckbreaker on the rope.   Lee works on Hex’s arm and locks in a crossface, but Hex escapes and hits an Ace Crusher.  Hex goes for a backstabber, but Lee holds onto the ropes and hits the Event Horizon for the win.  Lee locks in a choke hold after the match and will not let go until Dylan Nix runs to the ring and Lee escapes to the back.  It looks like Nix may be next on Alexander Lee’s list of students to try to defeat.,

Becca vs Delmi Exo

This is a rematch from the season 2 finale, which ended in a draw.  Becca appears to have some new gear that is brightly colored and has tassels on the arms.  They both are able to avoid each other’s moves early until Becca hits a superkick and a kick to the side of the head sending Delmi to the outside where they exchange strikes.  These 2 competitors appear to have a lot more animosity towards each other than the last time they met, as they exchange a series of very stiff forearm strikes.  They come back in the ring and Becca hits a swinging leg drop, but Delmi is able to come back with an exploder suplex for a near fall.  They hit each other with clotheslines, and both go down, but they both kick out at 2 to make sure that it will not end like it did last time.  Delmi gets Becca up on her shoulders, but Becca rolls through for a near fall.  They exchange roll ups and near falls and Becca is able to get Delmi with a back slide and bridges on top of her for the 3 count.  After the match Delmi accepts the scrunchie and shows Becca respect.  I was a little surprised that Becca was able to pull out the upset, but she has worked hard and been impressive in all 3 seasons of The Road and tonight she proved that she is no longer a rookie and certainly not basic anymore.

Richard Holliday vs TJ Crawford

Holliday tries to use his size to intimidate TJ early.  He lays in some chops on TJ in the corner and takes over control until TJ trips him up and locks in an armbar.  Holliday escapes by pulling TJ’s hair, but TJ follows it up with a knee to the face in the corner.  TJ is on the apron and is able to avoid multiple attacks but is caught with a clothesline from Holliday.  Holliday goes after him on the outside and throws him into the ring post.  Once he gets TJ back in the ring, he proceeds to stomp on him, Ronnie Garvin style.  Holiday works on TJ’s shoulder but TJ answers with a running knee to the head and a series of chops.  Holliday answers with a suplex with a bridge, but TJ gets out at two.  Holiday picks TJ up by his arm twice and each time slamming him shoulder first into the mat.  He tries for a third, but TJ counters it into a stunner.  TJ hits a spin kick to a downed Holiday and Holiday rolls to the outside.  Holliday gets back in the ring, but he gets caught with a super kick from TJ.  Holliday goes to the outside again, but not far enough to be out of range for TJ, as he hits a dive on him.  TJ gets them in the ring and hits a brainbuster for a near fall.  Holliday appears to be in trouble and TJ starts laying kicks on him.  TJ goes for a running knee and Holliday catches him but TJ counters with a headbutt and a spinning back kick.  Holliday comes back with a backbreaker, followed by a flatliner and a sit-down power bomb, but only gets a 2 count.  Holliday locks in the Boston Crab, but TJ gets to the ropes.  Holliday stomps on TJ, but TJ answers with chops and a kick to the head.   Holliday stops TJ’s attack with a chop to the throat and comes off the ropes.  TJ catches him with a spin kick and hooks him in a backslide, but Holliday is able to escape and hit the 2008 for the win.
