Suspending Disbelief
Some of the most fun to be had on this Earth involves
being out of one's mind. At least,on a temporary basis. Krude invented
his alter ego to escape from the torture that is his real identity. Life is a
bitch. I needed a place to go where my mind was free to breathe. Stepping into
this Krude role is hedonistic fun. But I must face the professional world as
the real me 5 days a week. And make housewives very happy with my skill for
interior design. It's a dirty job.... Ha!
Suspending disbelief is a way that fans of professional
wrestling refer to how they make sense of a show that is scripted and
largely non punishing for the performers. Finding a way to make sense of a
profession that the vast majority of people think is a joke. And being
passionate about it. That takes a person of true conviction and fortitude. i.e.
The kind of people I like to hang with
Women who tolerate their men screwing around on them are
guilty of the disbelief. They know but they don’t want to know. Doesn’t make it
right. But it sort of makes the truth go away. This is how most truly toxic
relationships start. Trying to see past the negativity to enjoy the positivity.
I’ve been guilty of this. And it never ends smoothly.
Working for somebody who sucks just for the cash is another example.
Virtually everybody has been around a shitty boss. But since the paychecks
clear every week, nobody seems to mind the asshole who signs the checks. I have
quit jobs due to the boss being a scumbag liar. I didn’t need the money that
badly. I couldn’t suspend my knowledge of these guys just to get paid. Fuck
that. I’m not a white. Neither should you be either
Getting by in life takes a lot of energy, smarts and
ingenuity. Choose your marks wisely. Enjoy the ride…..
