Dylan Nix vs Jeremy Leary
Leary is the head of The Hive, but is all alone tonight. Leary has the experience advantage, but Nix
shows that he has the power advantage early.
Leary slaps Nix in the face, but that seems to fire Nix up, as Nix
tosses him across the ring. Leary comes
off the 2nd rope, but Nix does not budge, and Nix follows it up with
a spinebuster. Leary goes to the outside
and chases after him. Leary hits Nix
with a dive to the outside and lays into him with some punches. He brings Nix in the ring and attempts a
splash in the corner, but Nix picks him up and puts him down with a suplex. Leary comes back with a knee to the face then
a superkick, but only results in near falls.
Leary tries a discus forearm, but Nix avoids it and hits 2 suplexes. Leary answers with a flatliner followed by an
STF. Nix is able to escape but Leary drops him with a DDT. Leary throws 2 chairs in the ring, but the
ref takes them away. As the ref is doing
this Leary takes off a turnbuckle pad. Leary
tries to throw Nix into the exposed turnbuckle, but Nix avoids it and hits
Leary with a Bubba Bomb. Nix locks in
the Hydra Lock, but Leary escapes by grabbing the ref. As Leary is talking to the ref, he mule kicks
Nix in the groin, then hits a running knee to his face and picks up the win. Nix brought the fight to Leary and forced him
to use underhanded tactics to get the win.
Ryan Zane vs Eric Johnson
Johnson is putting his undefeated streak on the line against
the debuting Zane. EJ looks to be very confident and does not appear to think
Zane is much of a threat to his streak. Zane
is not able to get much offense in due to EJ’s size and EJ easily picks him up
for 2 body slams. EJ goes for a splash,
but Zane moves. Zane lays in some punches,
but they have little effect and EJ drops Zane with 1 punch. Zane tries to fight back, but EJ keeps
hitting him in the head and dropping him.
He goes to throw Zane into the turnbuckle, but Zane slips away and tosses
EJ to the outside. Zane goes to the top
and hits a splash on EJ on the outside. Zane
tries to get the win with a count out, but EJ comes back in the ring. Johnson hits a powerful sit down powerbomb
for the win. The undefeated streak
continues and EJ is letting everyone know that. He is not quiet about stating that he deserves
a title shot and with his record it is hard to argue.
Logan Black vs Kirby Wackerman
Kirby looks to throw punches with Logan, which may not be
the best idea. It does not appear the
Black is taking him too seriously as he is laughing after driving Kirby into
the corner. Black tries head butts to
Kirby, to no effect, as Kirby has the hardest head in wrestling. Kirby answers
with a series of headbutts of his own driving Black to the outside. They lock up again and Black makes the
mistake of trying to punch Kirby in the head, hurting his hand in process. Kirby takes advantage of this by working on
Black’s hand. Kirby goes to the top, but
Black catches him with a European uppercut driving Kirby to the outside, where
Black hits him with a senton. Black
takes over control back in the ring. Kirby
tries to fight back, but Black’s size, power and experience is just too much
from him. Black picks Kirby up but Kirby
slips way. Kirby hits a headbutt to the
midsection, an atomic drip and a forearm but runs into Black’s elbow. Kirby is able to recover quickly and hits
Black with a spinning slam for a near fall.
Kirby avoids an elbow from Black and hits him with a pop up headbutt for
another near fall. Black goes to the
outside and Kirby tries to hit him with a torpedo headbutt, but Black catches
him with a punch to the face on the way down.
Kirby makes it back in the ring at the last moment but gets met with a
brainbuster as he comes in the ring. Kirby
is able to duck a clothesline from Black and hits him with a headbutt. He then goes to the top but Black throws him
down to the mat. Kirby is quick to get
up and lays in some forearms to Black, but Black picks him up and drives him
into his knee for a three count. Kirby
put up a good fight, but Black was too much for him on this occasion.
Rip Byson vs Nick Stapp
They start very even and roll to the outside while still
locked up. They then exchange shoulder blocks and lock up again. They go back in the ring and exchange
slaps. Rip hits a rana throwing Stapp to
the outside and Lucha Rip celebrates. He
goes to dive on Stapp but gets caught with a forearm. They exchange strikes on the apron and Rip
brings him down with a uranage to the floor followed by an elbow from the
apron. Rip brings Stapp back in the ring
and drops him with a headbutt. Rip
splashes Stapp in the corner and tries to whip him to the other corner, but
Stapp reverses it and throws Rip to the outside. Stapp hits a cannonball from the apron onto
Rip on the outside. You could hear
Stapp’s head hitting the wood floor on the dive, so he could not be felling too
good right now either. Stapp brings Rip
in the ring and hits a swinging knee with Rip on the ropes. Stapp has picked up
his intensity and pounds Rip’s head into the turnbuckle. Stapp grabs a waistlock from behind, but Rip
drives him in the corner. Rip goes after
him in the corner, but Stapp hits him with a dropkick. Stapp goes for another swinging knee, but Rip
catches it and hits Stapp with an enziguri.
Rip unleashes a violence party on Stapp and follows it up with a
swinging slam. Stapp may seem fun
loving, but he is showing how tough he is.
Stapp drops Rip with a Death Valley driver for a near fall. He then avoids a lariat from Rip and hits him
with an ace cutter for another near fall.
Stapp goes to the top, but Rip meets him and tosses him across the ring
with a Frankensteiner, followed by 2 choke slams, but only gets a 2 count. Rip hits a Dr. Bomb, but Stapp is able to kick
out again. He picks Stapp up and chops
him but Nick returns the chops and brings Rip down with a running double chop. They are both down and again exchange chops
in the middle of the ring. Stapp ends
the exchange with a poke to the eye and looks to have the advantage, but Rip
hits him with a huge lariat for the win.
This was a very hard-fought battle and while Rip continues his winning
ways, Stapp again showed that he is not someone to be taken lightly and can
stand toe to toe with the best that Limitless has to offer.
