PolyAm Cult Party 4

We had another amazing PolyAm Cult Party that streamed live from the PolyAm Night Club in Brooklyn New York.  This show delivered as much or more as the previous 3 had and had a little bit of something for everyone.  It was streamed live on James Stephanie Sterling’s Twitch stream and was viewed by over 1,100 people and trended #3 in the country.

Prior to the event on Twitch, we were treated to a pre-show with Laura Kate Dale, who did an absolutely amazing job telling the stories leading up to the matches in a way that wrestling fans and people new to professional wrestling could enjoy.  The pre-show also had promos for the matches that got you excited for the show.

Dan The God Damn Candy Man opens the show to try to play a game with the crowd and give out some candy, but the fun was put to a stop by the Apostles of Chaos and Karen Bam Bam.  Logan Black starts trash talking Dan, the PolyAm Cult Party and even praises Jim Cornette before Panakane and The Bundertaker come out to the aid of Dan, and we have a 6-person tag match.  The AOC and Karen take the early advantage and take down their opponents, but to their surprise all three members of the Brothers of Consumption dramatically sit up and take the fight to them.  They fight on the outside of the ring and AOC starts slamming fans onto their opponents.  AOC uses their size advantage as they get back in the ring but are met with chokeslams by Panakane and The Bundertaker.  Unfortunately, Karen Bam Bam comes in and takes out all 3 of her opponents.  The AOC take advantage and hit a double chokeslam on Dan and Karen follows it up with a sit-down splash for the win.  This was a very fun way to open the show and all 6 people were impressive.

Next, we have the match that was scheduled to be our opener in Jody Himself vs Colin Delany.  The stipulation for this match is that the loser has to pay the bar tab for the winner after the show.  Colin dominates the match early with some technical wrestling but might have gotten a little too cocky as he gets met with an elbow from Jody as he taunts him.  They exchange hip toss attempts all the way back to the bar, then they stop to have a couple beers before resuming the hip toss attempts back to the ring.  Jody finally hits a hip toss and throws Colin back in the ring.  The action in the ring goes back and forth.  They exchange pinfall attempts and Colin gets the win with a backslide.  Jody did prove that he could hang with a veteran like Colin, but unfortunately for him he will be paying for all the drinks tonight.

The following match is an I simp match between Mikey Banker and Aspyn Rose, where the first person to say “I simp” loses.  Eddie McQueen comes out as the special guest referee. This match does not last very long, because as soon as the bell rings Mikey cannot resist the charm of Aspyn and says that he simps.  This brings out the Uptown Boys with Hookah in hand.  It appears that they just want to have some fun as they start dancing with Aspyn, Mikey and Eddie, but then begin to attack them and we have a 6-person tag match.  It starts as a traditional match until Matt Awesome brings out his flip flops.  This does not appear to phase Eddie McQueen as he turns around and asks for Matt to spank him with the chancla.  This plan does not work well for Eddie as the Uptown Boys take over.  Eddie is finally able to make the tag and Aspen takes out all of the Uptown Boys.  Jarett Diaz dives to try to take out his opponents but takes out his teammates instead.  Then, back in the ring, Aspen and Mikey hit a double team maneuver for the win.  The Uptown Boys tried to ruin the fun but were shown the power of the simp instead.

We have the leader of the PolyAm Cult defending the Wrestlers’ Lab Championship against Josh Fuller.  Josh comes out in an amazing new light up jacket, which was made by one the show’s sponsors Daryl Apparyl.  Of course, MV comes out to a hero’s welcome from the crowd as it is his party.  Josh brings the fight to MV and hits him with a tornado DDT on the outside.  MV brings everything to Josh, but he keeps fighting back.  MV drops Josh with 2 MV Bombs, a move that has been taking out many opponents and getting MV a lot of attention of late, but Josh is able to kick out of the pin attempt.  After Josh kicks out the ref tries to stop the match and Jody and Mikey Banker come out to check on Josh.   Josh says that he wants to continue to fight and hits MV with 2 spears.  MV answers with a big knee to the gut followed by a MV bomb for the win.  Josh showed the fight that a lot of us knew he had and proved that he is as tough as anyone and deserves to be in big matches.   MV says that not only does he respect Josh, but MV loves Josh.  However, there is one person that MV does not love and that is Anthony Gangone, who has been giving him problems at the Wrestlers’ Lab.  MV challenges Gangone to a PolyAm Cult rules match at the next Wrestlers’ Lab show.

Next up is a match between 2 really big wrestlers, Big Callux and PB Smooth and a wrestler with a really big ego, Jared Evans.  Evans opens the match by stating that he is bigger than both Callux and PB, but they toss him aside and focus on each other.  Jared tries to prove that he can hang with the big men, and they keep throwing him across the ring with little concern for him.  Jared comes off the top rope, but PB catches him and takes him down with a brutal leg sweep.  PB is able to pick up the massive Callux and drops him with a DVD.  He looks to go for the pin, but Evans kicks him in the head and takes the pin.  Jared Evans runs to the back to avoid the wrath of the 2 big men, and I feel that this rivalry between these 3 individuals may not be over.

We have a street fight up next between Athrun Amada and Molly McCoy.  This match gets very brutal, very often and is not for the faint at heart.  Molly brings the fight to Athrun early as they throw their hockey helmet at him and go on the attack.  They fight on the outside and Athrun hits Molly with a chair as they are coming back in the ring.  Molly fights back and drops Athrun headfirst on the chair and hits him with a Gory Bomb on a title belt.  Molly then gets a shirt and a bottle of water and waterboards Athrun as he is in the ropes.  Molly brings their hockey stick in the ring and they both fight over it until Molly crotches Athrun with it.  Athrun is able to recover and hits Molly with a whiffle ball bat with thumbtacks on it.  He then brings a skateboard into the ring, but it backfires and Molly hits him with it.  Athrun gets a small ladder and sets it up between 2 chairs in the ring.  He puts Molly on it and goes for a senton off the top rope, but Molly moves and he crashes into the ladder.  Molly hits Athrun with an Unprettier on a chair, but only gets a near fall.  Molly then pours thumbtacks on the ring and hits a running senton on Athrun onto them.  Athrun will not stay down, and Molly brings an ice skate into the ring.  Athrun is able to take it away from them and he drops Molly onto the tacks, hits them with the bat again, then cuts them with the skate.  Athrun picks Molly up and drops them headfirst onto his knee to get the win.  This was an amazing and brutal match that shows just how tough both of these combatants are and how far they will go for a win.

After the ring is cleaned up, we have a match between CPA and Big Game Leroy.  We start the match with Leary playing a little Twitch with the referee and CPA.  The tax man, CPA, tries to get a little more serious and take the fight to Leroy, but Leroy hits him with a dive to the outside.  As an accountant is known to do at times CPA tries to take some shortcuts, but Leroy hits him with a Tiger Bomb.  Leroy comes off the top rope, but CPA catches him out of midair and drives him to the mat with a DVD for the win.

We now have the match that a lot a people tuned into the stream for, where Commander Sterling teams with the Great Bambina to take on Kimberly Spirit and Zac Belmont.  Kim is looking for some revenge from when Sterling chokeslamed her at the last PolyAm Cult Party and asks to start the match with them, but The Great Bambina starts the match instead.  Bambina weakens Kim before making the tag to Sterling.  Sterling is able to take the advantage on Kim until she hits them with a big forearm.  Sterling crawls to their corner to make the take to The Great Bambina.  Kim and Zac double team her until Zac misses a senton and Bambina takes over control.  Sterling comes back in the ring and hits a shoulder breaker on Kim.  Zac and Kim hit a double choke slam on Bambina, which angers Sterling as that is their move.  Sterling goes to hit a dive on them, but trips in the ring.  Commander Sterling grabs a chair and tries to use it, but hits the ropes with it instead and it ricochets off the ropes and hits them in the head.  Kim hits a knee driving the chair into Sterling’s head and picks up the win.  Kim gets a measure of revenge and Sterling ends up crawling to the back.

The next match is one that a lot of people have been looking forward to, as the Ryse Grand Champion, Ziggy Haim faces Effy.  Just by looking at these two wrestlers it appears that Effy would have the clear advantage, but Ziggy is not one to back down from any fight and stands toe to toe with Effy to start the match.  Effy is able to use his power advantage and begins to taunt Ziggy which angers her.  He then hits her with a DVD that he turns into a submission attempt.  Ziggy is able to escape and hits Effy with a crucifix driver.  They exchange strikes and Ziggy hits sliced bread #2.  Effy drops Ziggy with a chokeslam, but Ziggy counters with a sleeper hold.  While Ziggy has the sleeper hold locked in Effy falls back and the ref counts Ziggy’s shoulders to the mat for a 3 count.  This was an absolutely great match and Ziggy proved that she can hang with one of the top wrestlers in the country today, even if she did come up on the losing end today.

In the main event Billy Dixon defends the Chocolate City Championship against Eel O’neal.  Before the match starts Billy announces that it will be a falls count anywhere match.  Eel gets the early advantage, but Billy takes the fight to the outside of the ring.  Billy puts Eel up on his shoulders, but Eel grabs an apparatus on the wall and hits a rana.  Eel tries to get Billy to submit but Billy escapes and drops Eel to the outside.  Billy climbs the stairs, where he gives MV a kiss, then dives on Eel.  Billy hits a spinebuster in the ring, then hits a splash onto Eel on the outside.  Eel gets angered and starts laying strikes into Billy.  They fight to the back of the venue beside the PolyAm Bar, then head to the outside.  As they fight on the sidewalk outside of the PolyAm Night Club, Billy drops Eel headfirst into a trash can.  Billy then takes Eel down to the concrete and locks in a submission forcing Eel to tap out.  This was an incredible show that ended with a fight that literally went everywhere inside and outside the building.
