On this weeks edition of Bumming with Bobcat, I am cracking open Johny Bootlegger "Hard Squeezed" Ice Lemonade and "Juice Joint" Watermelon for a taste test. This is my first time taking a trip down Johny Bootlegger drive, so I'm very interested to see how these two turn out. Coming in at 12% ABV. in a 6.8Oz.(200ml) bottle they look very similar to an MD 20/20, but these are malt beverages and NOT a fortified wine.
First up is the "Hard Squeezed" Ice Lemonade, and I have to say I was very disappointed with this one. I found the flavor to be lacking and it was missing something. Sure, it's drinkable, but nothing that I found refreshing. Left a little bit of a funky aftertaste.
Next up is the "Juice Joint" Watermelon, and this is the winner right here. A smooth flavor that tastes just like a watermelon jolly rancher. Can't even taste the alcohol on the way down.
The REAL winner is creating your own Johny Bootlegger Hard Squeezed Ice Lemonade Juice Joint Watermelon concoction. You can't try both separately without combining them. Who doesn't like a watermelon lemonade? This gets the job done.
