To Drink or Not to Drink? - Neon Burst Punch Blast

Have you had a chance to enjoy your own Madmosa yet? If you haven't, stop what you are doing and crack open a bottle of MD 20/20 Orange Jubilee, the finest cheap champagne you can find, and mix it up while enjoying the latest edition of Bumming with Bobcat! After you do that, pick up a can of Neon Burst Punch Blast as we decide if it's "To Drink or Not to Drink?"

What exactly is Punch Blast? It's the new kid on the block from Anheuser-Bush coming in at 8% ABV. and is categorized as a "sparkling hard beverage". These looks to be taking the spot that the old Natty Rush series used to hold, but while not coming out and calling them "flavored malt beverages". Currently there are two Neon Burst varieties available, the Punch Blast and Grape Blowout.

Now my view of the Punch Blast is slightly skewed. Roadhouse and myself cracked it open after drinking a Madmosa, so our judgment was already compromised. The initial taste was very fruity with no real alcohol kick to it at all. The only downside was the aftertaste. To me it gives off a very fake sweetener aftertaste that lingers too long. Adding some champagne to the Punch Blast does help, but you will be in for a rough morning!

Verdict: TO Drink! (with friends)
