Delirious Nomad
Since I started working on the other end of the business
I’ve been in for 20 years (wholesale kitchen sales now, as opposed to former
kitchen design), Krüde has been taking to the road a bunch. Every
weekday I wake up before the sun rises and start a truly mysterious day of
driving to the wherevers of the world. My world currently consists of travels
throughout NJ, NY, PA. Add in Virginia and Delaware to the stew. (Just sold to
kitchen showrooms in those areas on our cabinetry). Life is rolling along, to
say the least.
When I think back at all of the places I have lived in my 54
Earth spins, the list is rather extensive. New
Jersey, Florida, Nevada, Pennsylvania, New York. Damn. I’ve been making a nest all
over the USA at various points. Yet, I have always remained the same person that
I am today. No pretenses. Krüde being Krüde. The way it should be.
Doesn’t matter how much $$$ I have. Or what kind of car I
drive. Life is challenges met with resistance and resilience. We lose more than
we win. Winning cures all that ills. Lucky to humans that the body can take a
solid beating before completely breaking down. I’ve been down that ‘breakdown’
road before. My hospital bills over the years are a testament to that fact. I
do trust doctors, by the way. Anybody who sat through 8 years of college and a few
more years as a hospital resident definitely knows more about the state
of human anatomy than I do. And they have the prescription pad. Advantage: doctors.
When I do get to stay in one place for a day, resting is the
name of the game. I rest my long gnarled spine by laying down and keeping
stress levels to a minimum. Music is my panacea. Always has been. My
collection of High Definition music downloads is becoming extensive. I like
hearing recorded music the way it is heard in a recording studio. All other
mediums to listen to music have limitations. Hi def at 24 bit 96 kHz is my go to
listening formula. You can get better quality, but my hearing likes what it
likes. Streaming music is bullshit. Sorry kids. Your method of obtaining
musical satisfaction is making non musicians rich and real musicians poor.
Time is precious. Spend it wisely. Get rest when your body
needs it. Traveling takes a lot of energy and inner fortitude. But finding a
shady tree to chill under after a long work week is godhead.
