The Week in Bum Wine 6/29 - 7/6

Hello friends and welcome to the post July 4th weekend edition of the week in bum wine! Going forward I will now be posting the weekly recap on Mondays instead of Sundays since I feel this will be easier. The week will now cover from Monday to Sunday, so this week as an added bonus you all get to enjoy an extra day of bum wine coverage free of charge! First off I hope you all had an enjoyable 4th of July weekend and didn't cause too much trouble. Also, I hope that you all were able to enjoy some bum wine and/or malt liquor this weekend!

White Wild Irish Rose!
For those of you that are following me on Twitter and Instagram (@bumwinebob) you saw that I got my hands on a new variety of bum wine this past Friday night. White Wild Irish Rose! While I have stated in the past that I was not very impressed with the classic Red While Irish Rose, the white variety was not much better. The taste is very similar to an even cheaper version of Thunderbird. After a few sips the aftertaste starts to get to you and at that point you know it's time to move on. I went back to it a few times that night to see if the taste got any better, but no it was still the same. It was just one of those things you had to try to see what the results would be. The next step will be to see what types of bum wine concoctions can be made using it and what tastes the best. Could that be the saving grace? I will give it a try and let all of you know!

Black Berry Steel Reserve!
Now Saturday night did not feature any new bum wines, but I still felt the need to give another new drink a try. After seeing it on the shelf quite a few times, I felt this was the week to give the Blk Berry Steel Reserve a try. Now quite frankly it was not too bad. It tasted similar to a drink along the lines of a Fourloko or Limearita, but not terrible. This is a totally different beast compared to the standard Steel Reserve or the Triple Export variety that I tasted a few weeks ago. If you are looking for something fruity and still want to get the 8% alcohol, give it a try. You could do worse!

Once again I would like to give a shout out to my friends over at www.violentradio.com for having me on their show once again last Friday to highlight my bum wine of the week. Thunderbird was the word last week! You can catch them every Monday and Friday at 8PM EST for their live show. It's very entertaining and worth a listen!

I have been working out some final details on getting my own radio show going over at www.blogtalkradio.com/bumwinebob, so hopefully that will be up and running shortly. This will feature bum wine, malt liquor talk, and maybe a few surprises along the way. If anyone would be interested in joining me on the show or helping out along the way, just send me a message on Twitter or send me an email at bumwinebob@hotmail.com. I'm open to any ideas or suggestions that you readers might have, so just drop me a line!

I have also been proposed a few other ideas for expansion and promotion, so once I have all the details worked out on that end I will let you know! Until next time, what's the word? Thunderbird!
