A vignette with Nick Aldis speaking opens the show, featuring footage from the last several weeks leading up to the Kamille/Aldis swerve on Tim Storm. Then a flashback to Tim Storms impassioned promo from last weeks show. Still a goose bump producing piece of work. This was very much this generations "hard times" promo.

INTO THE FIRE INTRO!!!!!!

"The New American Dream" Tim Storm is opening the show, cut's another fine promo, say's he's going to kick Nick Aldis's ass .. which brings out Aldis, to a ton of boos." Aldis says he's cool and calm and Storm is fired up filled with piss and vinegar, says his blood pressure is gonna get it.

Crowd is firing off insults at Aldis, but he's knocking them down left and right. Aldis said he's in this tournament for fun. Because he's bored. But now he's getting a little pissed off by Storm's demeanor. Egging him on to punch him. These two work off well together. Calls the back stage Randy the Rams .. oh my. That's great.

Aron Stevens v. Sal Rinauro  In an Exhibition Submission Match. (Non-title Match)

I don't like Stevens, but I want Rinauro to lose simply based off his hair. Stu Bennett is shining in commentary on this match. He bounces from face to heel commentary really well, so well in fact that you really have to pay attention to what he's saying. Which is nice when there's an Aron Steven's match on.

Stu keeps calling Aron "Shooter," and at one time compared him to Bruce Lee, to the chagrin of Joe Galli. Fans do not agree with Bennett's assessments either, screaming "you suck," several times. Feel like there's going to be a "Shooter Steven's" line of tee-shirts and CD's. Apparently, the Monglovian Clutch has led Shoote.. er, damn it. Aron to the victory.

WINNER: Aron Stevens

Stevens keeps it on too long bringing out Trevor Murdoch. Steven's does not appreciate that. Talks down to Murdoch. Murdoch doesn't seem to bothered by it. Calls Stevens an ass. Murdoch said he's tired of seeing what he's seeing and not doing anything about it. Steven's tells him to wash his shirt. Stevens claims to be smart. I have now stopped listening.

Murdoch says he doesn't want the North American belt, he just wants to kick his (Steven's) ass. Steven's says "No retreat, no surrender - says he'll take him on, but Murdoch has to put up his NWA TV title tournament spot". Murdoch says "He want's to shoot .. alright, we gonna shoot.".

Aron Stevens v. Trevor Murdoch in a non-title match for Murdoch's TV title tournament spot.

Murdoch is fun to watch. He just oozes that 80's NWA look so he looks perfect in this new NWA setting. I think Murdoch would be a perfect TV champion. But you know, maybe bring back the Western States Heritage Championship, if we're bringing back cool NWA titles? Plus my favorite of all time, Barry Windham, held that belt.

Steven's tries to hit the Monglovian clutch again, but Murdoch fought it off, and tossed Stevens face first into the turnbuckle. Murdoch puts the Indian Death Lock on Stevens and gets the win!!!!

WINNER: Trevor Murdoch

Pope interviews Eddie Kingston and Homicide, as he scouts for talent to take on for either a stable or to manage - seems like he's trying to get into the heads of Kingston and Homicide though, bringing up world titles and potential.

A beautiful vignette plays promo'ing the Hard Times ppv ... sounds like a Billy Corgan original.

Replay of last weeks off the tracks Eli Drake promo sippin on a little bit of the bubbly. And he's back again this week, walks around Galli to the amusement of the fans. Drake is starting to pull away as the next big thing in the NWA. Whoever comes out of the Storm/Aldis program with the belt is going to have to deal with Drake I believe. How does Marty Scurll get involved in that world title match. I guess I should just hold my horses and see if some stuff is addressed.

Drake says Aldis is scared of him. That's why he's not been in any matches for the last two weeks. Says if Aldis is to scared to face Ricky Morton, Drake will wrestle him. Drake is not interested in kicking Ken Anderson's ass again. Says he might fight James Storm. Colt Cabana comes out. He's out to defend Anderson. Says he's tired of Drakes bullshit with Anderson. Drake asks if Colts out to volunteer to be his partner. Colt says "Nope,". Says Anderson is his partner, he's a good guy. Says Drake might not be that good of a guy. Cabana gives him his resume as a fuck you. Getting heated. Anderson comes out to fight but Cabana says not like this, gotta be in a match.

Melina cutting a promo on Allysin, calls Kay's hair "skunk hair." Melina is dead to me for real now. Marti Belle says Kay is just a fake, that their friendship was a lie. Thunder says Kay never thought Belle was good enough for her.

Kay and her crew are now talking. I guess this segment is called GirlPowerrr. ODB is involved, which, is kind of strange. This whole thing is very different. I guess we're trying to see a different side of the wrestlers. Like the real life backstage stuff.

I don't know what how to feel about that segment.

Marti Belle v. Tasha Steelz

Belle needs to win this one, but Steelz probably needs to win this one more. Very tough spot for both women to be in right now - which tells you that the NWA is booking the women very well when the matches mean so much on a weekly basis. Steelz is fun to watch, but I've become very fond of Belle the last few months. That Steelz headstand break was pretty great. Belle seeking Melina's approval. I still don't understand why Melina is the one in charge ... and not Thunder Rosa. Steelz with the upset, and Melina does not look happy. Yup, she's yelling at Belle. Kay is gonna have to put the past behind them and save her friend.

WINNER: Tasha Steelz

Drawing for the next match of the TV tourny. Zicky Dice will take on Caleb Konley, is this the chance for Conley to shine?

Tim Storm v. Nick Aldis - TV Title Tourney with a 6:05 time limit.

Storm comes out to cheers, Aldis comes out to boos, wearing dress pants and dress shoes. I don't think he's taking this very serious. Remember, Aldis doesn't have to win the match to eliminate Storm. All he has to do is not lose to Storm and they are both out of the match. Apparently Aldis' group is called Strictly Business. Aldis is pulling out of the match as it's not that important to him anymore, because Storm has taken the fun out of it for him. Storm is coming out to talk.

Storm is tired of Aldis talking. Says he just showed the world who he really is. A coward and a liar. Tells him to get in the ring. Guess he's changed Aldis's mind as he's getting in the ring.

Wait, nope. He's not. He jumps out of the ring again. Aldis says it's a new year and you leave the past in the past and Storm is his past and he's leaving him behind. Says Royce Isaacs is going to take his place. Isaacs doesn't seem pleased by this says he's not warmed up. Why have they started this arc with Isaacs? Very strange.

Storm controls most of the match until Latimer causes some interference, but it only buys Isaacs a one count pin attempt at first. Strictly Business still seems confident, as Isaacs picks up Storm and slams him. No easy feat. Isaacs misses with a senton, opening the match up for Storm. Strictly Business no longer looks confident. Time is becoming an issue. Royce hits Storm with an out of nowhere cutter, but Storm falls near the ropes to break up the count. Isaacs went for Hush Money, but Storm stops it, then hits the Perfect Storm to move on to the next round of the tournament.

WINNER: Tim Storm

Ricky Morton is behind Nick Aldis now. Crowd is now chanting ROCK N ROLL and INTO THE FIRE PLAYS US OUT.
