Take it for whatever it's worth - but the big story coming out of NWAPowerrr 17 is the changing of theme songs. Gone, is the original theme of Powerrr, "Into The Fire," by Dokken. Replacing that song is "Broken," by metal band Pantera.

While "Into the fire," was a great song and will be greatly missed, it's not just losing that song that is making a few people scratch their heads in shock.

Pantera's lead singer, Phillip Anselmo, has had previous run-in's with less than morally ethic behavior on stage, caught raising his arm up in the white power gesture on a few occasions. One particular incident happened while Dave Grohl of Nirvana and The Foo Fighters,  was on stage, who was in no way happy about the occurrence.

What makes this even more puzzling is the fact that the NWA has run into these issues several times now, in it's early existence. In fact, it was a comment by Jim Cornette on an early episode of Powerrr that triggered quite a few as racially insensitive that cost Cornette his gig.

It will be interesting to see the fallout of this recent move.

Tim Storm doing Tim Storm things. Getting over like a god damned god and cutting a promo that makes you feel all the butterflies in your stomach. Says he'll never raise his hand to a women, and that includes Kamille - which brings out Kamille and Tom Lattimer. "Momma Storm" is here .. but it's clearly not Momma Storm. This is not amusing to Storm. She watches the telitube. A lot of old jokes are being thrown around. Momma say's she's going to spank Timmy, but he walks away.

That was interesting.

Caleb Konley v. Matt Cross

I'm a huge fan of Matt Cross. I think he has that NWA champ feel to him. A talent that can mix it up with almost anyone in the ring. I still think his match with MJF at All In was one of the best matches of the night. Hopefully Cross sticks around for a while and holds some NWA gold before its all said and done.

Konley is one of those talent's that are getting a closer look from fans who may not realize how talented the guy is - and he's very talented; a good look and with time, I think his following will grow for sure.

Winner: Matt Cross

Promo package of Aldis/Scurll with Aldis at home cutting another amazing promo. NWA flourishes in the gift of gab, my friends. And I love this "Scurll has to pay everyone if he loses" angle.

Pope/Eddie Kingston story line gets another chapter ... things heatin' up between these guys. Kingston was told to calm down cuz he had a screwdriver in his pocket, then he had a wrench .. now he's threatening Pope. He is not in a good mood. Says Homicide MADE NY City.

I feel like there's going to be a blood feud, between Kingston and Homicide, there's a lot of fucking anger in Eddie right now and this would be a perfect angle to pull out right now. He's got some friends here tonight.

The Bouncers.

Trevor Murdoch/Aron Stevens recap. Gotta drink some beers with Murdoch, man.

May's Diary .. is that her name. I'm not sure what the fuck i just watched. I'm both entertained and confused. She's like a poor man's Lana, yet .. more likable. I'm confused.

Aron Stevens v. Trevor Murdoch for the NWA North American Title is up next. I am Trevor Murdoch. Only, I have a beard and no tattoos. And I think I'd make a great NA champ. Wait, this isn't about me. It's about the resurgence of Trevor Murdoch and how beautiful the story is. I think of all the wrestlers who ply their trade on NWAPowerrr, Murdoch is the living embodiment of the NWA.

Long ago put to rest, coming back with reason. What a beautiful story. And Stevens, the arrogant fuck who stands in the way of destiny.

Winner: Time Limit draw, though, Murdoch hit a lariat off the top rope after the match was over. Future fucking champ.

2 Minute Update with Sean Mooney and then the NWA Worlds Tag Team Champions, are in action against Jocephus & Mims. Storm is a beast brother. How has this guy never had a run with WWE? He's Vince's kind of dude. What would you call Jocephus' hair style?

Obviously, Drake & Storm have no problem defending their straps against these dudes.

It's time for the rematch between Thunder Rosa and Allysin Kay. Now, it's no secret my love for Kay. I just think she's one of the best in the ring, plus she's just a rad chick. What Rosa and Kay did at Hard Times was extremely important in the lexicon of the new NWA. It gave the promotion something to build upon in the women's division, something a lot of fans are seeking in the overall wrestling product. Kay was a magnificent champion, and Rosa is a star that's starting to find it's shine.

Wait, did i mention that their match was our match of the month, for January? It was. You should check out the best matches of the month, by clicking here.

These two have great chemistry together. Whenever i see chemistry like this between talent, I wish i could get backstage and see how they interact, what they discuss, how much of the match is designed outside of the ring. These kicks between the two are paralyzing. Rosa went right back after the left arm, the arm she worked on at the PPV. Great continuity. During the match, it's announced that Melina has demanded a title match regardless of who wins this match.

This was another great match. I don't feel like it was better than the Hard Times match, but it was a really good match. Adding the other women in the match makes sense, as they are trying to get everyone over, but what made the previous match special is the story that happened in the ring. Not the story line outside of the ropes.

Rosa is not happy with Melina and Marti getting involved in the match and walks away champion but annoyed....
