With the 2019 NFL season now in the books, it's never too early to look ahead to the 2020 NFL season. As is often the case, the best odds for next year's Super Bowl belong to the two teams that just met in the championship game. According to My Top Sportsbooks, the Chiefs are roughly +600 chalk to go back-to-back, with the runner-up 49ers at +750 to finish the job in 2021. Despite being the clear-cut best team in the 2019 regular season, the Ravens are only third on the list at +800. There's still a lot of time between now and week 1 kickoff, so it will be interesting to see now things play out between now and then.
Patrick Mahomes finished the game 26/42 for 286 yards with 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions, which was good enough to earn him the Super Bowl LIV MVP award. Heading into the 2019 season I was hesitant to pick the Chiefs and Mahomes to duplicate their 2018 success, so my picks for the Super Bowl on the 2019 NFL Season Preview Podcast came out on the losing end. Could we see Saints/Chargers in 2020? The Saints maybe, but things are not looking good for the Chargers this off season.
