Jake Roberts returns to wrestling on episode 22 of AEW Dynamite

The big take away from last night's AEW Dynamite was clearly the debut of wrestling living legend, Jake "The Snake," Roberts.

It occurred during a promo from Cody Rhodes. Rhodes had just told MJF to come to ringside and tell him face to face that he beat him clean.

That brought out Roberts, who said he was tired of hearing Cody bitch and cry about a loss.

Said he's got a client - but never mentioned the clients name. More intrigue for AEW. They love mystery angles, and I don't hate it. It was amazing seeing Roberts on the screen - that gravely ass voice demands respect and attention.

Later in the show MJF cut a pretaped promo wearing an "I pinned Cody" t-shirt which grabbed a decent reaction from the crowd. He also mocked Cody for his tattoo.

Clearly this feud isn't over, but will be put on the back burner to get us an MJF title shot - how soon that takes place, however, is unknown.

As over as MJF is, and as great on the mic as he is, I don't think the world title is right for him, at this time. I wish AEW had a US or TV title ... I think that's where he needs to be right now.

More drama between Adam Page and Matt Jackson. Is it just me or does Page seem to be most salty with Matt than anyone else? A deeper issue that we're not aware of yet?

No Exalted One nor Lance Archer, which drew the ire of wrestling fans online after the show. I don't remember AEW specifically stating Archer was debuting today, but there has been speculation that a number of AEW talent are down with the flu.

The Exalted One is so intriguing, but deep down I don't think they know who it is just yet - and they're going to play that up for as long as they can. I don't think it's Matt Hardy.

But who. Who could it be?

One thing I mentioned on twitter is ... It could actually be Christopher Daniels, who turns on SCU - but in a double swerve, The Dark Order then attack Daniels and bring out the real Exalted One. Builds up two storylines in one.

In the main event of the evening, The Inner Circle attack Jon Moxley in the back so he's unable to get to ringside - and this is just too much for Darby Allin to handle on his own - though he gives a fantastic effort, going 14 minutes against Jericho and Guevara.

MATCH RESULTS - Spoilers Ahead

SCU & Colt Cabana defeated the Dark Order ... Big Swole picks up a victory against Leva Bates ...PAC takes down Chuck Taylor ... Jake Hager easily handles QT Marshall in a match no one wanted ... And the Inner Circle defeat Darby Allin.
