Are you ready for some football? The Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl LIV victory seems like ages ago, but don't look now, because the 2020 NFL season is right around the corner. At this point, it's still hard to tell whether we'll get a full NFL season, but with about a month left until the regular season games start and odds for Week 1 already out, it's safe to say we can at least plan for the 2020 season as we take a look ahead to what should be a unique time for the NFL.
When I posted by 2019 NFL Season recap back in February, who would have known this is where we would be in August, stuck right in the middle of a pandemic. Usually during this time of year we are focused on NFL preseason games and battles for the top positions, but this is 2020 with no NFL preseason games on tap.
Since February we saw the return of the XFL, it's bankruptcy, and now it's purchase by The Rock. What's next for the XFL? Will the third time be the charm? Only time will tell on that one.
We all know that NFL games without fans are going to look much different than we are used to, but is that a bad thing? Most people have been craving sports while being stuck at home, and the return of the NFL will be a welcome sight. There have been a lot of moving and shaking in the off season, and it's time to find out which big gambles will pay off in the end. Brady to the Bucs, Rivers to the Colts, and DeAndre Hopkins to the Cardinals are just some of the big moves made as teams try to load up and make a Super Bowl run.
