Another promotion returned to action this week. AAW streamed live on FiteTV as Chicago based AAW rose from hiatus to come Alive! And the night was filled with shocking moments and huge surprises.

Mance Warner was put to the test by Jake Crist. Crist came in looking to flip the script on his career and take some respect from AAW's Ace. Crist pushed Warner to the brink in a battle that at times was more chaos then wrestling - just the way both competitors like it. In the end however, Crist came up just a bit short after Mancer hit one of the most devastating twisting DDT's I have yet to see. There was frustration and desperation in that DDT as Crist had come very close to pinning Mancer on several occasions.

After the match, Mancer offered a beer to Crist - the sign of respect Crist was seeking, heading into this match. The good vibes were vanquished unfortunately, as Hakim Zane crashed the party and claimed he's the reason Mance Warner is the big deal he is. Mancer took offense of this and popped Zane in the mush and a donnybrook erupted.

Jake Something came out to help Mance - but hesitated to give Warner back his AAW belt. Some very interesting developments to end what was a really solid show.

Ace Austin & Madman Fulton shocked the AAW universe by defeating Besties In The World - I didn't realize how popular Besties were on social media, but the defeat had many shook.

The rise of Chicago native Elayna Black continued Thursday night as she defeated Skye Blue. I've been big on Black for quite a while now. I'd go as far as to say I was the first to really trumpet her talent - but even I didn't see the maturation coming this quickly.

Logically, you'd think talent would be a bit rusty having gone six months without action, and while Black has stayed busy the last couple months, wrestling seven matches, there is no way to understand the vast improvement in her in-ring work, nor confidence of her character. It's really amazing to see.

Pop of the night goes to Matthew Justice and Manders. It seems Justice does something crazy ever AAW show, and he did it again Thursday night. Justice randomly finds a scissor lift in the venue and decides he's okay with murdering a man.

With Manders draped around his shoulders, Justice leaps off the lift onto a waiting table to secure victory for himself. Incredible moment. You can order the replay now, on FiteTV
