Southern Underground Pro returned to action after a lengthy hiatus after COVID19 and a Tornado shook the company to it's core.

The promotion was again shaken to it's core at the conclusion of the scheduled main event. AC Mack was able to retain his Bonestorm title against 1 Called Manders, albeit in less than a champion's way, using the ropes for leverage.

After the match, Mack did what Mack does: Ran his mouth too damn much, which brought out AJ Gray. Gray defeated Nolan Edward earlier in the night.

Gray shut Mack's shit down quick and challenged the champ to put up his title, which Mack said hell naw - but when he was positioned with an opportunity for a low blow, he took it and told the ref to ring the bell.

AJ went on to recover and kill Mack with a clothesline from hell. Afterwards, Brett Ison came out and Gray offered him up a title match for the future, and they shook hands.

Ison defeated Erick Steven's earlier in the card in a match that never really felt like it took off - one thing is clear though; S.U.P fans LOVE Ison. I think the pop he received in his match entrance has been the loudest, so far.

In what may be the match of the DAY, Daniel Makabe outlasted Lee Moriarty in a mat classic that had the Marion County Fairgrounds on the edge of their seats and by the end of it all, on the balls of their feet with the first standing ovation of the weekend.

I was not expecting the result we were given. Moriarty is on the verge of break out status - this has to be considered a huge upset for Makabe.

The two traded hold for hold with neither seeming to gain an advantage, and it just seemed like Moriarty was waiting for his moment to take the match over - but it was not to be today, as Makabe seemed to have an answer for every move Moriarty made.

This is a match a lot of people will talk about long after The Collective is over.

While it wasn't the mat classic like Moriarty/Makabe, the O'Shay Edwards/Jake Something match was an entertaining big man killing big man match, with Edwards taking the win. Everything about Edwards is legit - his look, his movement in the ring, the dude has it all and to take down a dude like Something is not a small accomplishment by any means.

Mark my words - O'Shay Edwards is about to break out and get himself paid.

Anthony Henry and Jaden Newman had the unenviable position of following Makabe/Moriarty & Edwards/Something - and did so very well. It's always a tough situation to follow a classic match and then a hoss battle, but Henry is explosive in his offense and Newman plays the role of underdog with a heart of gold perfectly.

Allie Kat took down Davienne - Allie looks fantastic right now. She looks healthy and happy, and I dug the nod to her Texas heritage with the cowgirl hat and Texas colors. A lot of people look past her in ring work - and while she's not Thunder Rosa, few are. You can see her heart in every match and she continues to improve. I've never not been entertained by Allie in the ring.

The show opened with Violence Is Forever retaining the S.U.P tag titles over To Infinity and Beyond. The team of Dominic Garrini & Kevin Ku are always a treat to watch. Ku is so smooth in the ring and Garrini is the very definition of aggression.
