Limitless Wrestling's The Road - Ep 13 Recap by Don Halliwell

Rip Byson vs Perry Von Vicious

These two massive tag team partners open the match against each other as you would expect them to, by trading shots in the middle of the ring.   Once PVV gets the advantage he hits a splash on Rip in the corner.  He then throws Rip into the other corner and PVV does the worst cartwheel in wrestling and hits Rip again.  Rip rolls out of the ring and thinks that he is safe, but PVV dives over the top onto Rip.   He looks to go for another dive,  but Rip takes him over the top of the ropes and hits a dive on PVV.  Rip goes for a suicide dive but gets met with a boot from PVV before he can make it through the ropes.  They meet back in the middle of the ring and we are back where we started as they resume exchanging forearms and chops.   PVV hits a rip cord back elbow, then they exchange shoulder blocks and Rip finally gets PVV up for a powerslam.  Rip puts PVV on the top rope and hits a Frankensteiner for the first near fall of the match.  They exchange shots again, this time with PVV getting the better of the exchange and knocking Rip down.  PVV tries to get Rip up on the apron, but Rip gets away by hitting some headbutts.  PVV recovers while Rip is on the apron with his back turned and gives him a suplex onto the floor.  PVV goes for a slam on the floor, but Rip escapes and spikes PVV headfirst on the floor.  Rip puts PVV on the top rope again and goes for another Frankenstiener but PVV stops him and hits him with a power bomb.  Once they hit the mat, the Apostles of Chaos hit the ring and attack both of them. Since PVV and Rip were already through a brutal match AOC has easy pickings and leaves both Rip and PVV laying on the mat as they mock them on their way back out.  This was a very exciting and hard hitting match until the interference.  I would like to see this match again, but I think first Rip and PVV need to take care of AOC.

Brandino Davis vs Treavon Jordan

Jordan tries to have some fun, but Davis is not having any of it and wants it to be a serious match.  Jordan has the advantage early and uses his speed to frustrate Davis until Jordan misses a kick, causing him to get caught in the ropes.  Davis takes advantage by hitting him with a boot to the face.  Davis picks up Jordan, tossing him across the ring and goes for the quick win but only gets a 2 count.   Jordan turns up the tempo and hits Davis with a sidewalk slam for 2 count of his own.   Jordan goes for a choke slam, but Davis reverses it and hits a tiger driver for another near fall. Davis charges at Jordan, but Jordan jumps over him and hits a side kick for the win.  This was a very competitive match, but it seemed like Treavon Jordan was just a little bit quicker than Brandino Davis tonight.  Jordan looks to be a star in Limitless whether it is in singles competition or as ½ of the tag team Waves and Curls.

Jacob Drifter (with Doug Wyzer) vs Dave Dyer

The stipulation of this match is that the loser must eat dog food.  Dyer quickly goes after Drifter and hits a STO, but Drifter evades an attack in the corner.  Drifter has a momentary advantage, but Dyer rakes his eyes and takes back over control.  Dyer goes for a spear in the corner, but Drifter moves and Dyer crashes in the ring post.  Drifter quickly rolls him up for the win.  Drifter and Wyzer celebrate in the ring.

Next, we see Doug Wyzer and Dave Dyer at a kitchen table and Wyzer is putting the dogfood on a plate for Dyer.  Dyer tries to get out of it by eating 1 bite but Wyzer says that he needs to eat all of it.  Dyer eats the whole plate but does not appear to be felling too well and may have brought it back up.  This looked very rough for Dyer and I have a feeling it is not over between these 2 and Dyer will be looking to get his revenge.

CJ Cruz vs Ricky Archer

This is the second match of the night where tag team partners collide.  They exchange quick pin fall attempts early with knuckle locked monkey flips.  The pace picks up and they trade multiple pin attempts and go for dropkicks at the same time, ending with a stare down in the middle of the ring.  CJ gets the advantage when he throws Archer to the outside and dives over the top rope onto him.  Archer gets back in the ring and CJ goes to the top rope, but Archer kicks him in the head to knock him to the floor.  Archer gets CJ back in the ring and gets a near fall.  He then throws CJ into the corner with so much force that CJ goes over the top and on to the floor.   Archer pulls CJ back in the ring, and gets another near fall, but begins to get frustrated that he can’t put CJ away.  Archer locks in a headlock but CJ gets out with a back suplex.   CJ hits Archer with uppercuts in 2 corners, multiple clotheslines and a spinning heal kick for a near fall.    CJ is now the one that is getting frustrated and goes to the second rope, but Archer avoids him, and hits soul food followed by a fameasser.  Archer goes for a slingshot spear, but CJ kicks him in the face.  They exchange strikes in the middle of the ring, and both go down as they hit clotheslines on each other.  CJ hits a spinning tombstone piledriver, but he can only get an arm over Archer and Archer gets his leg on the rope. CJ gets Archer up, but Archer escapes and climbs on the 2nd rope, hitting a leg drop driving CJ’s head into the mat.  Archer then locks in a sleeper hold and brings CJ to the mat.  CJ tries to fight out of it, but Archer has it in too tight and gets the win.  This was another exciting, competitive match and after it CJ states that you have not seen the last of him.  This however may be Ricky Archer’s time to climb the ranks to a title shot.
