The saying goes, "Ain't no laws when you're drinking claws", but you might want to second guess that statement when it comes to the new White Claw Hard Seltzer Iced Tea Variety Pack. I've said many times that I'm not one to turn down an alcoholic beverage if it's offered to me, but you always have to take into consideration the price you might pay when it comes to that choice.
Last weekend I finally took a dive down to White Claw Ave. to see what the type is all about. I had originally thought about doing a White Claw feature back in 2018 before hard seltzers exploded into the market, and I might have even tried a few during 2018 or 2019, but honestly I don't remember the experience. 2019 saw hard seltzers take over the world, and that increased even more during the 2020 pandemic lockdown. 100 calories and 5% abv. is always going to get people talking, but is it really worth it?
The White Claw Iced Tea Variety Pack comes with 4 different flavors: Peach, Mango, Raspberry, and Lemon. While they all might technically taste different, they all are really the same. Each flavor leaves the same aftertaste as if you drank a diet iced tea. Sure you can get a decent buzz going after drinking a few, but I don't find them very refreshing. They can get the job done in a pinch if you are desperate, but I would rather mix up my own hard iced tea and drink that instead.
