Malt Liquor Of The Week - Olde English 800

Olde English 800 is one of the most recognizable malt liquors in the world. If you were to bring up a malt liquor conversation with most people, the first thing that would come to mind is Olde English 800.

The origins of Olde English 800 start all the way back in the 1940's, but it was in the 1980's with the introduction of the 40 ounce bottle that Olde English 800 gained most of it's notoriety. On the east coast you can find Olde English 800 coming in at 5.9% ABV. and in some spots on the west coast you can find the 7.5% ABV offering as well.

Over the past few years we've seen Olde English fall in popularity due to the switch from glass to plastic 40 ounce bottles. We have covered this topic many times, so I won't get into it here, but I feel that shouldn't be a reason to kick Olde English to the curb. If you aren't a fan of the plastic 42oz bottles, you can always pick up a couple glass 22oz or 24oz cans to enjoy instead.

We miss you!
Olde Engligh 800 is a classic malt liquor that does the trick. Perfect for any time of year and for every occasion. Go ahead and treat yourself with the gold standard this Malt Liquor May!
