Monday Night Raw recap 3/10/20

By Chelsea Weiand

Becky Lynch opens up Raw tonight by coming out in to the ring and calling out Shayna, saying that she now knows who she will be going against at Mania. Although we all already knew it was going to be Shayna. Shayna cuts a promo saying that she is guaranteeing a victory for herself against Becky.

Rey Mysterio Vs. Angel Garza: This has been a good match. I really enjoy watching both of these high fliers in the ring. Mysterio ends up getting the pin on Garza. I’m not sure what this will mean for Garza losing to Mysterio. I’m sure we will see a rematch next week.

We get to see a little interaction with Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley. Charlotte comes out to talk about how Ripley will never be like her. And then Ripley comes out and tries to get a word in, but Charlotte won’t let her. Ripley ends up serving the Queen a nasty punch and walks out of the ring, leaving Charlotte speechless. I am looking forward to seeing this match happen at Mania.

Bobby Lashley Vs. Zack Ryder: Quick filler match. Lashley with the win.

Backstage we see Rollins and Murphy come up to Aleister Black. Rollins tells Black that he wants him on his side and tosses him a “Monday Night Messiah” shirt. Black tosses it back right away and tells him no. Rollins tells him that he is either with him or against him. Black takes those as fighting words and assumes Rollins wants a match, so he tells him he accepts. Looks like Rollins now has someone other than K.O, to worry about.

Erick Rowan Vs. Drew McIntyre: Right from the beginning, I’m thinking Rowan will be unleashing his dumb robotic spider but, McIntyre takes the cage and smashes it with the steel ring steps. This match isn’t long and ends in a 3-2-1, Claymore kick!!!! Obviously McIntyre had to win this so he would look good leading up to Mania.

Kabuki Warriors Vs. Liv Morgan & Natalya: In a segment that needed subtitles, the Kabuki Warriors come out and start screaming and yelling in the ring. I have no idea what is happening right now. Haha. I never thought in my life I would be happy to hear Natalya’s music hit, but thank you! The match no longer starts and Ruby Riott comes walking out. Liv Morgan is trying to focus on the match and not get distracted, but now here comes Sarah Logan. Logan attacks Ruby. Liv jumps off the top rope to the outside and takes out Ruby & Logan. Natalya is alone now and Asuka gets the pin. I’m hoping this will set up a triple threat between Ruby, Liv & Sarah.

AJ Styles comes out to the ring with Gallows and Anderson. Styles cuts a fantastic promo. He breaks kayfabe by calling Undertaker by his real name and continues to get extremely personal on the mic. I’ve got to agree with him when he said Undertaker gets hurt anymore when he steps in the ring. Next week it becomes offical, Aj Styles Vs. Undertaker to have a contract signing for Mania.

Riddick Moss Vs. Cedric Alexander for the 24/7 Championship: Why is WWE just now trying to bring this title back in to play? It was a big thing and then we barely saw it and now the past 2 weeks it has been defended in a match. Riddick with the win to retain the title, but no one cares.

MVP is in the ring saying how he is going to work with Edge. Edge comes out of a limo backstage looking like he means business. He gets in the ring and tells Orton to “grow a set” and get out here right now. Edge ends up spearing MVP after he says something about Beth. Orton comes out from under the ring and attacks Edge. Orton manages to escape and ends up standing at the top of the ramp. Edge with a Conchairto to MVP while starring Orton down. The crowd chants for him to do it again and he gives the fans what they want. Another Conchairto to MVP!! This is going to be one hell of a match at Mania.

Main event is Seth Rollins Vs. Aleister Black. Rollins comes out with a bucket of popcorn to mock K.O. from last night at Elimination Chamber. He’s sharing it with the fans. Haha. This match has been great. I love watching both of these guys in the ring. Black would’ve had the pin on Rollins, but Murphy broke up the pin and got Rollins disqualified. AOP run out and start attacking Black. The Viking Raiders come out to the aide of Black. And now The Street Profits. This leads to an 8 Man Tag Team Match: The Monday Night Messiah Vs. The Street Profits & Viking Raiders. This is one hell of a match. Rollins ends up getting the win with a stomp to Ford. K.O shows up and starts dishing out Stunners to Murphy & AOP. Rollins gets K.O with a stomp and follows up by delivering it two more times.

I think Raw was pretty decent tonight. I enjoyed the interaction between Rhea & Charlotte. McIntyre looked great. AJ Styles cut one hell of a promo. Edge & Orton’s interaction gave me chills. And the ending has me hoping we will see Rollins Vs. K.O at Mania.

Until next week WWE Universe!
