Time for another episode of Ring of Honor Television! This week is a special episode all about Mark and Jay Briscoe.
We start this week with Mark and Jay at their childhood home. They give us a nice look into the Briscoe's early days of wrestling on the farm.
The Briscoes vs Kevin Steen and El Generico. "Driven" 6-23-07
Getting a Steen and Generico match on TV this week? Awesome! This is a Tag Title match from "Driven" in Chicago in June 2007. Very cool old school ROH throwback! This match freaking RULED!!! It is crazy how good these four were together. Briscoes retained after a double team spike Jay Driller on Generico. Just an absolutely phenomenal match. I really miss Kevin Steen and El Generico. Winners: The Briscoes
Next we take another look at Mark and Jay's childhood, and they discuss their matches against each other in ROH. Jay talks about his two World Title reigns. Speaking of the World Title....
Jay Briscoe vs Mark Briscoe
World Title match from Best in the World 2013. This match took place just a couple months after I started watching ROH. This was a cool look back at one of my favorite times in ROH history, and it was very cool hearing Kevin Kelly and Nigel McGuinness on commentary together. Nobody fights like family, and this match proves it. Great, physical battle. Jay wins a phenomenal match with the Jay Driller. Really, this match does not get talked about enough in the "best matches in ROH history" discussion. Winner: Jay Briscoe
A different, but very enjoyable episode of ROH this week. I hope we get a few more episodes of TV looking back at ROH legends during this "Corona Season." Go out of your way to watch this episode!
