Tiffany's Thank You Letter to ... Ryan The Ref.

The more I podcast and the more show's I go to, I've learned so many valuable
things about wrestling. To many, what goes on backstage is a mystery. While I'm not
in the business I have been blessed in that I've been able to see how hard they work behind the scene to bring us a show.

When I started thinking about writing this series, Ryan came to mind first. Now, I'm sure you are saying to yourself, "Tiffany, on the No Holds Barred Network shows you do, you say everyone plays an important role," and that is true.

I believe that.

I met Ryan at an ICW show a few years ago. He was handing out business cards, so I told him I'd take one of his, if he took one of mine. I was blown away by the respect the wrestlers paid Ryan.

Through the years I have seen Ryan at so many different promotions and I can
honestly say He is one of the most genuine people I have ever met. Not only
do I see his care for the wrestlers, promoters, people behind the scenes, he is also very interactive with the fans. You will always see him at shows pumping people up.
Whether he is dancing or asking the fans what they are most excited to see.

At the last synergy show Ryan hosted a toy drive #GoGold for the Valerie Fund
in honor of #ChildhoodCancerAwarenessMonth. The turn out for this event was
amazing. The amount of toys that were donated, surrounded the ring. It was amazing to .

On the Synergy 3rd Birthday ppv on FITE TV SPW owner, Colin West and Ryan talked about the cause and you could see how proud and emotional Ryan was - at times tearing up, speaking about the Valerie Fund, and why it was so important to him. You see, Ryan himself beat cancer 25 years ago.

Talking with my friend April about Ryan, we were discussing the fact of how over
Ryan was at Synergy with the fans. Hand wiping down the ropes for every match
doing dance moves and just having a fun time.

His personality is impossible to not love.

Another amazing thing that Ryan does, that no one really does anymore - you'll see him walking around, giving out thank you letters. With all that he does, can you imagine taking the time to hand write personalized letters?

I always say that I give credit to everyone working in wrestling. I could never do it.
Refs need to be trained also before stepping in the ring in case they need to take a
bump. I’ve discussed with Ryan before on my Under The Ropes series about his wrestling career, and if he'll ever return to in ring action. I mean, I've seen him take bumps, go through tables, barriers .. and he does it well. He sells it like a pro.

While on the Bob Culture Podcast, Ryan said it was time for Refs to fight back - and he did just that at the 3rd Birthday Party ppv, assisting Warhorse on a Doomsday Device on Frightmare, in honor of the late Road Warrior Animal.

The question is, will we see more?

If you aren't aware of who Ryan is, check him out on social media - and if you go to Indie shows, you'll most likely run into him eventually. He's worked for companies like Synergy, ICW, GCW, UWA and House of Hardcore.

Tell him hi, the next time you see him.
