The Fans Are The LumberJacks?? Holy Fuck - This is Action Clash Episode 68!

Another great night of action in Hartselle, Alabama streaming from IWTV.live, New South Pro Wrestling Action

Clash, episode 68!

Show started with a favorite of mine, Steven Michaels, taking on an unfavorite of the Sparkman Civic Center faithful, Dillon McQueen.

Michaels looks in fantastic shape, while McQueen's mouth is in tip top shape as well, so Michaels slapped the sound out of it to open this match.

What ensued next was a really good match that saw Michaels dictate the tempo of this match most of time, but McQueen showed some great resolve in moments, catching the veteran a few times; but Steven is a tough son of a bitch, causing McQueen to repeatedly ask Michaels "Why won't you die,".

And die he wouldn't as Michaels stamps his ticket to the Heart Of the Southern Sixteen tournament, taking place 3/4 & 3/5.

A crazy cool little video package interrupted the broadcast during some talk between the announcers and we enter our next match.

Alex Kane taking on Hunter Drake - Drake has a fuckton of support coming to him from the crowd; got that ol' Rock n Roll Express vibe with the crowd. Not gonna lie, this one surprised the hell out of me. Coming into this match, I didn't think there was any chance Kane was going to lose, but Drake is a energy personified in that ring. I'm not sure he stole the match, but he deserved this win that's for sure.

Even though he lost, I wanted to mention something about Donnie Janela. You may know him as Kung Fu Janela or on AEW he's Donnie Primetime when he's on their Youtube shows - but the dude is pretty entertaining. Watching him on Zicky Dice's Outlandish Paradise, I just really kind of hope that people start to notice him more; really wanted him to win that Hey Brother Battle Royal; I hope 2022 is the year he gets more attention.

That being said, another surprise outcome in this match as Marcus Dylan defeats Primetime, in a fans are lumberjacks with leather straps match ... i guess that's what it was called, i'll be honest by the end of the show I was feeling pretty, pretty, pretty good.

The fans didn't want to dish out the punishment to Primetime as much as they wanted to cave the ribcage of Dylan. I like the idea of fans being the lumberjacks; I can't remember this ever being a thing before - let me know in the comments.

This is why I love indie wrestling; just the weird shit that indies can do that National tv entities probably couldn't or shouldn't!

Earlier in the show Brandon Williams defeated Damyan Tangra in a very solid mat based technical beauty that really stood out in the show, for me. It's a reminder that this business has so many different ingredients to work with to make a show fun for everyone's taste.
